Rivals story: if you don't have access. He went to Stanford.

Yeah, I saw that unfortunate news on Rivals. If kids have the grades, Stanford is going to be tough to recruit against as long as Harbaugh is there. Hopefully Meline visits Oregon soon.

Wow, Stanford seems to have a lot of momentum. Now we have another school to worry about when it comes to competition in recruiting.

Yeah, Stanford is also the Ducks' biggest threat for running back Malcolm Jones.

Espn has it up too.

Stanford has not been shy about putting their name out there for a lot of big recruits already.
Malcolm Jones' parents will be tough to sway from Stanford as well, as Vinny mentioned.

I don't know where Oregon stands, but I would rather have Sean Parker than Badger or Meline. Parker looks just as good as Loston, and would have a great opportunity to start as a freshman.

Not that I want Oregon to lose any good recruits to other teams. But, I'm liking that Stanford looks to be getting more competitive these days. It's good for the Pac-10.

Do we have a shot at Parker? Whats he going to be rated?

Well, Parker said less than a month ago that Notre Dame is his top school. If that changes for some reason and he doesn't choose Notre Dame, then Stanford is once again a major factor. It is still early and a visit to Oregon could change things, but I wouldn't count on Parker.

Don't forget Chris Metcalf is really interested and could be visiting soon.
Parker is a major ND lean as Vinny said.
However we have some options out there and fortunately we always end up with some solid Safeties. Walk ons/2 stars/whatever

Great pick up for Stanford. It was an uphill battle for us anyways as his Father and Brother both went to Stanford and Chris grew up in that area.

In addition to Meline, John Timo has an Oregon offer according to Rivals. He is listed as an athlete, but I think he projects as a safety for the Ducks.

Also, Dion Bailey's coach told Greg Biggins back on 2/27 that Oregon is close to offering Dion. He is a great cover free safety according to Biggins.

This is a bummer, I really liked this kid. Even worse is Stanford just keeps getting good football players.
