With the departure of three undergraduates and two transfers, Oregon has scholarships galore to be tossed around. Coach Altman and the staff have been hot on the trails trying to fill up the remaining scholarships. There is now one less spot as Oregon lands 6’8″ 210-pound PF Kenny Wooten out of Las Vegas, NV.
Despite high interest in Oregon, Wooten committed to Arizona State in December due to the lack of scholarship availability at Oregon. But as scholarships started opening up the last month, talks with Oregon were rekindled and it didn’t take long for Wooten to pull the trigger. Wooten pick the Ducks over offers from Kansas, Arizona State, Arkansas, USC, Utah, and many other schools.
