Xavier Ramos, a 6 foot 180 lbs outside linebacker out of Ventura, CA. made a verbal commitment to Oregon Thursday night according to SuperPrep.com.
Ramos led his St. Bonaventure high school team to a Division title and the CIF State D-III Championship Bowl in 2007 with 44 tackles.
Ramos decided to go with the Ducks even though he hasn’t visited the school according to an LA Times Blog. Ramos is planning to take a trip to Eugene sometime this summer to check out Eugene, the campus, and Autzen stadium for the first time and then follow up with an official visit during the school year.
In 2007 Ramos was one of the rising stars in California as he played alongside the west coast’s and the nation’s top back Darell Scott.
Ramos has also gotten an offer from Army and has had high interest from Arizona.
