1997 Point Guards

Chauncey Billups SG 6'3'' 202 21 C B- B- C+ C- A
I made the executive decision to list Chauncey at PG for notes...He has B MINUS defense at PG.
Don't sleep on Mr. Clutch, coming out of Colorado. While teams are slobbering over Tim Duncan, and the glut of SF's, some team is going to be very happy with the far less flashy, all around solid Billups. There are no holes in his game really, though he is still learning to take care of the ball, he is not bad at it, and in time has the potential to be very good. He scores very well, has nice strength, is quick, steals well, shows promise passing, and is an average to above average rebounder for the position. Shoots FT's well, a very very good finisher, and utilizes his size well in the post. His three point shot is still developing, but scouts love the potential of Billups, even if its likely he isnt the best player in the 1997 draft, the drafting team is unlikely to be disappointed.

Anthony Johnson PG 6'3'' 190 23 C C+ C+ C D A
Anthony is a ball control PG. He knows what his job is, take care of the ball, and he does that well. Not much of an offensive threat, or defensive, with solid potential though, he is a good backup guy to have for sure, one who won't throw the ball away every other time down the court in hopes of a few extra points. He knows how to get the ball in the scorers hands, and not get in the way.

Vonteego Cummings PG 6'4'' 190 21 C- C B- B- C A
Vonteego is the far far more ruthless version of the Anthony Johnson PG. He WILL not get in the way offensively, only looking to occasionally take the open jumper, but mostly he looks to distribute to an open player, and take care of the ball. He won't wow you if you need scoring, but if you are struggling with your PG production, and have other players to handle the scoring load, Cummings is a surefire pick to handle your teams needs. Solid defensively, with good stealing ability.'

Jacque Vaughn PG 6'1'' 195 22 C C+ C B D A
Vaughn is somewhere between PG and SG, and he isnt quite good at either. He is a super perimeter defender, but needs to work on his overall offense to be useful beyond that.

God Shammgod PG 6'0'' 169 21 C- C+ C+ C- D B
Great name, mediocre (for this level) player.

FYI Bobby was drafted last year. Unless there were 2 and I'm wrong.
