Top 5 2000 Shooting Guards

Quentin Richardson C+ C+ C- C+ C+ A

One of the most well rounded players you will see in this years class. He is quick a a cat and there are few weakness in his game. He is the classic case of the jack of all trades he suffers from being surrounded by players that doing other individual aspects of the game better than he. For his size he is a great outside shooter, but not compared to the brilliance that is Cardinal. He is a good defender, but not compared to Udoka. Excellent lithe frame that has plenty of room to build up on.

Michael Redd B- B- D+ C- C A

When Redd arrived at the combine there were a ton of expectations leveled at the Ohio State star. To say he lived up to every one of them would be an understatement. If you are looking for someone to fill up the scoring sheet, Red is your man. Inside, outside, and in the middle he was hard enough to slow down much less stop. Just dont look to him to be the anchor of your defense as he cares about the game winning shot, not the game winning stop. Redd is loaded with potential looks poised to be an offensive cornerstone for years to come.

Mike Miller C+ B- C C C A

Miller, like his running mate Harvey, surprised more than a few when he declared for the draft early out of FU. The Gator has a great mix of inside and outside qualities and possesses ideal lateral quickness for his position. A solid positional rebounder, he loves to work with the ball in his hands and rarely suffers from any turnover issues. Probalby could also have used more seasoning in the SEC but his shooting quality should translate with few issues to the next level. Very good potential.

DeShawn Stevenson B- C+ D C+ C- A

An extraordinarily gifted and aggressive player who has determined to mak the jump from High School to the pros. He has all the tools to be a very good player at the next level as he posses exceptional strength for a player of his size. In addition his outside defensing is way beyond his years with a great nose for even defending down low. While he can get to the basket against anyone, don't expect the ball to be there as well as he can get very careless as he barrels down toward the hoop. One scout was quoted as he saying he has all the room in the world left to grow, though more than a few questioned his overly aggressive nature as both the core of his strength and what might bring him down.
