Remaining targets?
Is Altman looking at anyone else right now? I have a hard time believing that we will go into the season with only three true guards?

Re: Remaining targets?
Unlikely, outside of 2019 prospects that could possibly reclassify.
I'd imagine we land a grad transfer at the guard spot before the season starts.

Re: Remaining targets?
Grad Transfer/JuCo wing player; D and 3 is most likely what we're looking at.
A couple of the kids I liked signed(the one kid with Nova). There was also the kid from down South, the Juco kid, not sure if he's signed anywhere yet.
Outside of that, haven't heard any new names, but grad transfers will continue for another month or so with many graduations not coming until mid-June.

Re: Remaining targets?
I'll probably make a longer post about it later, but rotation is going to be way different this year. We've never had a full season of playing 2 bigs all the time under Altman.
We sometimes saw Bell/Boucher together, but that was often turnover city. Sometimes saw Kazemi with Woods(which worked, because Kazemi was an amazing defender/solid passer).
Offensively, if Wooten/Bol are going to play together, Bol/Wooten will both really need to work on their passing/ball control, or it will be a nightmare.
Defensively, going to be a 90%+ zone team I'd imagine this season, but if we can rebound defensively and Bol plays with effort, we should be a ridiculously good defensive team by mid-season.

Re: Remaining targets?
We're looking at a couple of guys that are thinking about reclassifying and a few transfers according to 247.

Pretty quiet. Looks like Will Richardson/Victor Bailey better be ready to contribute at a high level this year.

I still think we land a grad transfer. AJ Lawson is still in play too.

Re: Remaining targets?
Do we have a legit shot at Ehab Amin? He would be a nice pull. Experience and he sounds like an outstanding perimeter defender.

Wow. Didn't realize he wasn't going to Nevada. Not a shooter, but might be too good to pass up.northbeachsf wrote:Do we have a legit shot at Ehab Amin? He would be a nice pull. Experience and he sounds like an outstanding perimeter defender.

Opened things up about three weeks ago. I know he visited Rutgers as well. Not sure what our chances are for him

Looks like Lawson pulled the trigger and committed to South Carolina.UOducksTK1 wrote:I still think we land a grad transfer. AJ Lawson is still in play too.

Re: Remaining targets?
Really like this pickup. He's a capable scorer but he's also sounds like someone who really buckles down on the defensive end.

Re: Remaining targets?
Yup having a guy who can play both sides of the perimeter is so huge.greenyellow wrote:Really like this pickup. He's a capable scorer but he's also sounds like someone who really buckles down on the defensive end.
A small addition like this can end up being very valuable. Not to mention just the needed depth at the guard position.
