UW's Sirmon and Yankoff enter transfer portal...
https://www.uwdawgpound.com/2019/4/29/1 ... cob-colson
"In a partially surprising development, according to multiple sources, freshmen UW quarterbacks Jacob Sirmon and Colson Yankoff have placed their names in the transfer portal."
" But if they both leave, then what looked like one of the most loaded QB rooms in all of college football will suddenly be getting a whole lot weaker."

If I remember correctly Yankoff was a big deal during recruiting, I wonder what the real story is behind this. Losing two young QB's at once hints of trouble in paradise.

Apparently they are running third and fourth on the depth chart.
I had to laugh at the linked article when the author writes that 2021 QB pledge Sam Huard could achieve the same instant success as Trevor Lawrence. My hope is he has similar results as his father Damon, who threw "The Pick".

Unfortunately this probably means that Eason is looking good and like the clear front runner.

Eason is not looking good. He averaged only 3.5 yards per attempt in their spring game. UW might be a low key dumpster fire:lukeyrid13 wrote:Unfortunately this probably means that Eason is looking good and like the clear front runner.

If Eason isn't looking good, we REALLY hope he's the clear front runner .
I thought Yankoff was committed to us for a while before decommitting and eventually signing with UW.

Yankoff was committed to Helfrich and left after the coaching change.
If he's not impressing at practice for the huskies, that isn't very encouraging, but man he looked like a really good prospect coming out of high school.

Less than 48 hours after it was confirmed that he had submitted his name to the Transfer Portal, Husky redshirt freshman quarterback Jacob Sirmon has confirmed his intention to return to Washington.
The news was confirmed by SportsRadio 950 KJR's Dave "Softy" Mahler this afternoon.
