Arizona @ Oregon (Ducks win series 2-1)
Game 1: W 4-2 (W Anderson 6-1)
Game 2: L 1-2 (L Madison 2-3)
Game 3: W 7-3 (W Keudell 5-3)
No post season, but winning a series like this would be nice.

I feel like we're due to play some good baseball, I'm calling a Ducks win in this series.

That would be nice.
Last year, Anderson couldn't even get out of the 2nd inning in Tucson, they got to LaTempa pretty good, McGough gave up 3 runs without recording an out, and Kuedell gave up 8. The only reason we weren't swept was because Marder hit a 3-run bomb in the 9th to go up 9-8.

Re: Arizona @ Oregon (3 game series)
I will say this:
I said last week that if we didn't win the SC series, we were done. But I'm not entirely sure that's true. Do I THINK we'll go to the postseason? No. But I guess we're not necessarily dead yet, either.
Our problem is that even if we go 7-0 in our remaining non-league games (which we won't), we haven't beaten ANYBODY. BYU is our best series win; St. Mary's and San Diego are both horrible. So is Portland, if we end up winning that series. We have to start winning Pac-10 series, and we have to start winning them right now. We've already blown two perfectly winnable ones (UW, USC).
IF IF IF we can beat Arizona 2-1 (we won't, but bare with me), we'll be 21-17. We'd beat UP to go to 22-17. We have to find a way to not get swept down in Berkelely, no easy task. Let's say we go 1-2. 23-19. We'll lose to OSU in Corvallis, 23-20. Gotta beat UCLA, let's say we do 2-1. 25-21. Gotta take two from Seattle; 27-21. Gotta take two from Stanford at PK; 29-22. Gotta take two from Gonzaga, 31-22. Gotta take two up in Pullman; 33-23. Gotta beat UP; 34-23. It would all come down to a series, at home, with #3 Oregon State, who could very well (and probably will be) playing for the Pac-10 title. IF we could win that series, we'd be in the tournament at 36-24. No questions asked. If we lose the series 1-2 (or, god forbid, 0-3) we'll have to sweat out the selection show.
^ A lot of that is best case scenario; we absolutely have to win almost all over our remaining Pac-10 series, and we have to go 6-1 (by my estimations) in our remaining OOC games. So, WILL make the tournament? Most likely not, we haven't shown we can win ANY Pac-10 series, let alone put together a string of them. But, CAN we? Yes. If we start to turn this thing around. Right now. Getting to about 10 games over .500 with series wins over UCLA, Stanford, Arizona, MAYBE OSU? Yes, I think that'd get us in.

1-0 Oregon, bot 2
Kuresa with a 2-out single, Marder follows it up with an RBI double.
5 frosh in the line-up tonight.

2-0 Oregon, bot 3
Another two-out rally! Thomas singles, Sabol singles (Thomas takes third), R. Hambright with an RBI single.
Arizona's pitcher is GOOD. Sub-2 ERA, I believe. Nice to get to him early, he doesn't usually give up much.

2-2 through 6.
Once again the Ducks struggle to score runs. AZ has 2 runs on 2 hits and the Ducks scatter 7 hits but only put up 2 runs.
