89 Power Forwards

Cliff Robinson - B C D+ B- C A

The UConn product is an athletic stud with great skills to match. He is imensely strong and fights hard for putbacks. With his size, he works well in the post but when he tries to step back he might struggle, he can hit the outside shot some but it is just not consistent enough to be a real weapon. He is really good defender down low and moves well. His lack of rebounding positioning could use work and this might force a shift down to the SF while it develops, and with his frame he has room to do just that.

Dino Radja - C+ C- D+ B A- B

The partner in the post for Vlade Divac for the Yugoslavian national team. He does amazing work on the boards, outworking, out positions and out muscling his opponents to secure the rebounding. When he does pull down the offensive board, he tends to pass out and may not have fight to finish down low. His range stops at 15 but that should not deter teams. He is a great positional defender but most scouts question how much room he has to grow. Despite all this, he should be a double-double machine for may many years to come.

Stacey King - C+ C- C- B- C+ B

King may be one of the most complete positional defender not named Robinson. He doesn't take chances at his position, but will always stay in front of his man and make his shot difficult. Decent finisher, but not outstanding. Decent midrange shooter, but not outstanding. Decent on th boards but not outstanding. Should have room to grow in these areas as many scouts believe his bad attitude may have dropped his initial future growth scouting.

Tom Hammonds - C+ D+ C- C+ C+ A

Jack of all trade, master of none. He can do a little of everything. He is quite gifted physically and does a decent job on the boards. Scouts rave about his potential and think he very well be the most lithe frame that could fill in extremely well.

Žarko Paspalj - C+ C D- C+ C A

The Yugoslov wonderkid. He shocked many by declaring as most thought that Divac returning to KK Partizan would convince him to do so as well. Unfortunately for Partizan, he did not, but their loss is the NBA's game. At 6' 9", he may be a little short for the PF position, and his range stops at 17', but he can still step out there quite well and spread floor from the free-throw line extended. He is very strong and knows how to get the ball in the basket. Scouts were skeptical about how much he was talked up as the future of the Yugoslavian, but they have been presently surprised how well his film matched with his appearance at the draft combine.

Other power forward prospects:

Alexander Volkov - C+ C C- B- C B

A white whale, an actual russian on the USSR national team. Largely average overall, but a good positional defender. Has 3pt range but may chuck them up more than is good for him.

Valeriy Hoborov - C+ C D- B- C+ A

The Ukraine SSR products is a rounded player. Starter at PF over Volkov on the USSR national team. Decent potential and great at the FT line. Poor positional defender and got postorized a ton in Seoul, SK.

Terry Davis - C C- D- C+ C+ B

Amazing physicals, jumps out of the gym. Good hands and rips the ball free well. May have been living too much off of his physical gifts.

Valery Tikhonenko - B- D D- C+ C+ C

Maybe the best thing to come out of Uzbekistan SSR since the Sasanian Empire. Very good inside, poor at the FT line. Does a great job defending the low block and fighting for the defensive rebound. His age will likely limit his potential.

Randy White - C+ D+ D C+ C+ C

Early entrant. Good physicals, probably would have been better off staying in school another year. Decent potential and great on the defensive boards. Poor free throw shooter.
