Recruiting Analysis and a Look at Needs For 2010

Here is an article I wrote up yesterday breaking down each position and what positions will need to be filled in next years class. This should be fairly up to date (I had to update the article about three times while I was writing it because of so much action yesterday). Diante Jackson is listed as undecided in the article, but that should be the only error. I hope you enjoy.

This is a great analysis of depth on the squad. I like the look at upcoming needs for 2010 by position. As a follow-up question, how many schollies are available next year?

Maybe tomorrow after all the commits are in I will try to go through the roster again and pick out players that I know have scholarships. I am sure I will miss a few but I could probably come up with a rough estimate. Thanks for the kind words, I have been lurking on the board since it started.

That is where my vote went. The Ducks have some much talent at the tight end position. Everyone of those guys could start on any team. Though, I would understand if someone voted ofr LB. The talent there is incredible and it just got better.

I would have to say TE is the strongest because they have a proven starter and some very capable back-ups. The LBs are deep but are somewhat green when compared to the TEs.

Good write up. Only thing I would change is the line about Oregon using so many "4 or more" WR sets. We don't go empty that I've noticed so there is rarely (if ever) a "more". It's usually 3, sometimes 4, and some of the 4 is actually Dickson splitting out wide, which is still 3 with a TE split out to the slot.

Other than that it looked pretty good.
