D.Hawkins will play Defense, probably FS. We'll be calling him D. Ball Hawking Hawkins very soon!

Interesting. The Ducks definitely need some players at safety, particularly after next season, so hopefully he pans out there.

Did anyone else laugh their ass off seeing him rated just below a player going to South Dakota State? Don't get me wrong, I agree, this guy is a diamond in the rough and could eventually pan out, but I don't even think I knew South Dakota State had football, or even existed for that matter. I have faith in the coaches, and Scott Frost must have seen something the recruiting services didn't pick up on or bother to look for!

Per Bellotti, Frost had nothing to do with the recruitment of Hawkins. We all assumed Frost was the reason he committed, but that is apparently not the case.

I read that Daryle is Harold Reynold's nephew, which must make him a 2nd cousin of Tyler Reynolds from Sheldon? Maybe? Small world if true! Gotta' ask Eddie, next I see him...

He only played 2 games as a QB and put up 600 yards of total offense in those 2 games and played an entire game with a severe injury. If he redshirts and plays scout team QB this year and probably sits another year at least he could get a lot of work in with Kelly and come out of it a good QB but Bellotti said that he'd look at him at WR first and then go from there. His video was very impressive and the Rivals mods said that if he were listed as an athlete he would be at least a 3* but because he only played 2 games at QB they couldn't rate him higher then 2
