#11 Missouri @ Oregon
Thu, Dec 02 Missouri Eugene, Ore. - McArthur Court 8:00 p.m.
Fox Sports Net
Probably one of the most overrated teams in the nation. If Oregon brings their A+ game, they could win. But I still see Missouri taking this.

I... very much disagree. Mizzou is a very good team, and I think they're going to run us out of the gym. It may not be as bad as last year's score, but they are going to out-athlete us and we really don't have the bodies to stop them.
Best case scenario, IMO, is that they're a bit tired after playing a physical game against Georgetown two days prior, and we finally shoot the ball well enough to keep it "kind of" close most of the way. But really, there's a huge talented gap here, and there's a reason why we went after Mizzou's coach so hard.

Too bad Mizzou is probably the best conditioned team in the country... We can hope though.oregontrack wrote:I... very much disagree. I guess I'm not sold on Missouri thus far this season. They have yet to win impressively over subpar teams thus far so I'm not willing to predict a blowout over Oregon, of course they will probably run Georgetown out of the gym tomorrow night now. I'm not going to say that Oregon will win (there is not evidence in support of that), but I don't envision a 40 point blowout like last year.

I was wondering the same thing.Wayne Pesek wrote:What happened to Jacob and Williams?
Strowbridge is this year's Tajuan Porter.
The team looks terrible right now.
“If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

Finally, announcers said Jacob has knee problem again, and Williams has concussion.
This is not even close to a fair fight.

Without them, Oregon really has no one to go to on the bench.Wayne Pesek wrote:Finally, announcers said Jacob has knee problem again, and Williams has concussion.

Oregon 21% from the field and 27% from 3 point. Missouri 63% from the field 50% from 3 point. I can't wait till next season when this team has some athletes on it and even better 2-3 years from now.

This team is really well coached. The improvements in the 2nd half compared to the 1st half are incredibly obvious. Now if only our palyers could shoot, we'd actually be in this game.

Could you imagine how well the teams that made it to the elite eight those two seasons would have been with Altman? I know his style of play with the press, etc. requires particular types of players but the would have coached up all that talent Oregon had over those years. Like I said before I can't wait until we have some players that can shoot on this team.
