Recruiting Coverage of 2010 Starts On Monday & Other Changes

Post by Mops »

I am taking a break from and trying to keep tabs on the 2009 class. I have started 2010 already I know, but I won't be doing much posting on the boards this weekend and will be trying to catch my breath and get a lot of prep work done for the 2010 class.

I am working on a few things that will be a regular on the board and the the website. However, I'd like to see what the members of this site would like to see more of or something new. Please be realistic as this is a free site.

Also, in efforts to help pay for the bills that are required to run the site each month, keep our domain, and to help raise funds for future expansion, or if you simply want to donate some cash to help keep us running I am going to set up a paypal account and you can donate there. No need to donate and if we don't get a cent I will continue to provide all the work I am doing.

I never post anything but have been using this site for the past month to get information on all the recruits. I think you do more than enough for a free sight, and need nothing improved.

I also will be happy to donate. As stupid as this sounds, I would rather donate to a free site, than be charged a subscription for a pay site.

Start charging people a small monthly fee, or something like $30-50 for a year as a membership fee. You don't have the national backbone of Rivals or Scout networks to be charging their rates, but.... We are getting premium content now with your knowledge and now articles with recruits, and it sounds like it will be increasing in depth.

No thanks. If people want to donate, then fine. Even Mops said he wouldn't be charging for the site.

Mops -- The site is great and it sounds like lots of folks are willing to donate. One improvement I'd recommend is that each subject include the date of the original post. For example I just opened a post that originated in early January even though the date listed was current. Perhaps you could list the original date as well as the most recent post.

Thanks for the info. I checked this site several times a day during the heat of the recruiting process and found it more valuable than any other free site.

It is listed. At the bottom left hand corner of the first post of every thread, there is a date that lets you know when it was posted

If any way possible I'd like to have a spot/forum/section that has some player profiles for kids we are recruiting. Of course in that section we can link the articles written here about them, any linked stories, and highlight vid of that prospect.
That would be my only request.
