Oregon is giving Mizzou all they can handle. Oregon actually looks like they run an offense since they come away with a good shot almost every time they don't turn it over.

It's amazing what fundamentals and hustle/effort can do.
The effort is there, but the fundamentals are still lacking.

So I must have missed JJ getting hurt again?

Not sure what happened, but I'm guessing he came back to soon.

I don't think Jacob has played at all tonight. They said something about his knee.
“If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

Loyd is my favorite. Good fight by the Ducks. Had we shot even half decent in the Pac-10, we win this game.

I'm proud of the way this team competes. Ernie's teams would have folded and given up at halftime, but with the state this program is in I couldn't possibly ask for more out of them.

I guarantee you this team will finish at least 7th in the Pac-10.

Loyd is an exciting player. What a baller. Despite having very little talent, this team is kind of fun to watch. Altman is clearly an excellent motivator.

Can't wait to see what Altman does with next year's class.

Ya I agree with that being a moral victory, to play that well in the second half against a team like Missouri. Hopefully we keep improving all season and finish respectfully in the standings in the weak pac 10.

This. I for one, am very proud of the team for fighting the way they did. This definitely looks like a much more hungry, competitive, and a better coached team than last year. :)

If they can play like this in Pac-10 play, there's no way they finish in last place. They will sneak on some people and win some conference games this year. The only thing holding them back in this game is poor shooting in the first half. They almost made up for it in the second half with better execution and good hustle.

I don't believe I've ever been so pleased with an Oregon basketball loss before. Good signs of improvement so far. This is a great year for the Pac-10 to be down, gives the Ducks some hope to be somewhat competitive.

I have to admit I'm pleasantly surprised so far. Loyd appears to be the real deal. Catron is playing well in this system. I'm not sure how they play a lot better than they did in the 2nd half tonight, but that's good enough to win against a lot of teams. My preseason prediction was 8 wins. After seeing OSU, CAL, and Stanford play and the way these guys played tonight, I might have to revise to 13 wins or so.

Pleasantly surprised by the second half surge. I figured the game would go the way the first half went, but the Ducks really fought back. Nice to hit some shots...!

Hope they can keep it going Sunday against a fairly decent Portland State team.
