Yes, I know we played them in our very first game at Mac. And we played them for Mac's 75th anniversary. But this is a game that just shouldn't be, unless it's strictly for ceremonial purposes in Mac's final game. But we've got, like, a month left in this place, do we really need Will-U?

While the game will more than likely be a joke, it is just for ceremonial purposes.oregontrack wrote:Yes, I know we played them in our very first game at Mac. Wait, is this the last game at Mac? I thought the new building isn't open until Pac-10 play begins.

The first conference games are the first week of January, but the athletic department decided to hold the opening of Matt Court off until the weekend after since the students will be back for winter term.DarronThomas1 wrote:Wait, is this the last game at Mac? We've got Jacksonville State and Idaho still at home, too. As far as I know, Dec 11 was never the planned final home game. Even before we moved Matt Arena back to January 13 this game made no sense.
"Rockin crowd"... of 213 people. Mac attendance this year has been horrific.

Does this game count towards our record? Or is beating a DII school not count for a D1 school?

I'm not sure but the Oregon women played Western Oregon, also a DII or III school, and it's counting on their record so I would imagine this game counts this time around.buckmarkduck wrote:Does this game count towards our record? Or is beating a DII school not count for a D1 school?

When we played them a few years ago I believe --but can't say with 100% certainty -- that it counted towards our record, but did NOT count towards any NCAA Tournament purposes. Not that we really need to worry about that this year.

I had no idea Willamette even had a team till I saw the schedule. There should be limits on the amount
of scholastic athletic programs.

Re: Willamette @ Oregon
Didn't see it, just saw EJ's stat line. Really great game for him and he is one person who has definitely improved under Altman. Not much to say other than it was against Willamette but it looks like even Seiferth got some good time in too.
