It appears 5 players will get the five game suspension. They are OK for the bowl game.

Curious why the bowl game is fine? Next time they should just get their fathers to take a few hundred grand and just use that money for their tats.

Haha, not suspended for the bowl game, of course. Four home games, followed by a trip to Illinois.

That was this year's schedule. He will miss a couple easy games but @ Miami, FL and home games against Colorado and Mich St. will be a bit tougher.

Further explanation from tOSU site. They must also repay a bunch of money for selling rings and jerseys. Apparently they get to play in the bowl games because they were "victims" of inadequate education on the rules. Apparently ignorance of the law is an excuse.

losing Adams, Posey and Herron is almost as big. Hopefully they loose 2 of the first 5 and are knocked out of BCS talk.

The irony of breaking the rules by selling your sportsmanship award just hit me.
Pryor must repay $2,500 for selling his 2008 Big Ten championship ring, a 2009 Fiesta Bowl sportsmanship award and his 2008 Gold Pants, a gift from the university.

Money talks.......you know the saying. NEXT YEAR?!!!!! Give me a break. The NCAA is the biggest joke. You cannot tell me they didn't have the proper education about the rules. Just another fun day at the NCAA - let's make the rules up as we go along.

Sometimes I wonder how athletes can be so stupid. I know they are just kids, but still. I would love for Ohio State to really suffer next year and beyond because of this.

Aren't we lucky he didn't choose us now. Bet he'll opt for the NFL now.

So Cam Newton's father can solicit his son's services for $180k and get away with it, while Marcell Dareus from Alabama gets suspended for 2 games for taking less than $2,000 from an agent? Ohio State players get suspended for 5 games for selling off some gear?

No surprise that the former president of UW (now the president of the NCAA) is corrupt as hell.

Ohio State should take this one to court.
