There is a little article on oregonlive where Klay's dad(Mycheal Thompson) says that Klay wanted to go to Oregon but of course Ernie wasn't interested. Gee how did that decision work out.

It's probably better for Klay's sake that he didn't come here.

If he did come here, he'd be riding the bench and his game probably wouldn't develop much.

I'm actually somewhat serious.

You guys are ridiculous...There's a difference between having to rely on freshman and having them contribute...We have to rely on them because that's what we have...Wazzu is built around junior's and senior's and has freshman contributing...I'm sorry for those of you that are too ignorant to realize that there is a difference between the two situations...

Plenty of players that aren't freshman.

Sounds like more excuses to me. Even when we had young teams in the past, we were never this bad. We'd at least win 5-6 pac-10 games..

I grew up with that kid and played baseball with him and both of his brothers (Mikey, and Trace). Mikey (who plays at pepperdine) said oregon talked to klay, but not enough to warrant any interest from klay. Mychel thompson is a chill dude from when I knew him back in the day, so it makes sense that he wanted klay to go to the hometown favorite. (They used to live in Lake Oswego)
