I wouldn't go that far. Michigan State's schedule was pretty weak this year. I think Alabama will beat them. LSU should win their bowl game. I'm (gulp) picking Auburn to win.

I wouldn't count out South Carolina quite yet. It's very early and Christian Ponder is out for the game.

I want Oregon to win, but I have a bad feeling that Fairley is going to do a cheap shot on Thomas and knock him out of the game. Think Texas last year against Alabama. I'm kind of a pessimist though.

Keep in mind that I also predicted that Stanford would beat Oregon.

The Big-12 is only 1-4 in Bowls so far and (Gulp) the Mountain West and Big East are both 3-1.

It looks like the Big East may have been stronger than most people thought, but they beat up on each other in conference play.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if Oklahoma loses to Connecticut tomorrow. The Big-12 looks to be having a down year and UConn has nothing to lose while Oklahoma has EVERYthing to lose! This would be like 6 consecutive BCS Bowl losses for Bob Stoops!

Also, Oklahoma SHOULD have lost at Cincinnati earlier this year, but they were saved when a Cincy player fumbled a punt deep in their own territory late in the 4th Qtr and Oklahoma scored a couple plays later.

We drove by their convoy of buses a couple nights ago and they had a sign that said "Pride of Oklahoma" on the front. (I live in Scottsdale)

If they lose tomorrow they'll need to change that to "Shame of Oklahoma".

I'd actually be shocked if OU didn't blow out Uconn. Uconn is terrible. The disparity in talent between the two teams is enormous. As much as I hate Bob Stoops, he's a pretty good coach. This game should be a laugher.

This website shows just how much people overvalue the SEC even in betting. Vegas usually makes its money and knows what its doing setting the lines, so there is usually a red flag when the public is backing teams way too much, like happened with this SEC teams in today's games:

74% of people across different sportsbooks had little USC beating FSU by at least 3,
68% took Georgia covering either a -6.5 or -7.0. (With many people thinking there is no way UCF could match up with UGA's athletes)

Both teams lost outright. (The other two underdogs today in terms of the point spread and who the public backed, also won outright)

As I post this, betting on MSU - Bama is 50/50 but was way more lopsided before. It changed when most people were flooding bets on Alabama at -11 and the reverse line movement occured and Bama was offered at an even more favourable -9.5. This normally causes more people to jump on the favourite's bandwagon (which Vegas wants) but reverse line movement has indicated upsets earlier this bowl season (Illinois over Baylor and UCF over UGA).

So the Reverse line movement usually seems to mean the smart money is one place and Vegas is enticing others to vote on the other side. (Smart money here being Michigan State, the public meanwhile on Alabama. The smart money still loses and the public has its days so an Alabama cover is not surprising (They should at least win straight up) but smart money so far seems to be going against the SEC. Reverse line movement also in the Michigan and Miss St game, public liking Miss St and yet the line continues to move in favour of betting more on Miss St.

(One exception looks like Florida at -7, people at betting hard on Penn St straight up for value on their bet, but also most people think Florida won't cover the touchdown spread. So far this bowl season that seems to mean Florida will both win and cover as the public has been getting hit pretty hard.

Too soon to tell but some places have already shown Auburn being the big public team with the reverse line movement enticing even more bets on the Tigers. (Opened at -3 on one site and moved to -2.5 despite 67% of people putting money on Auburn. So early indication is smart money so far has come in on Oregon.

TCU looks like they will win the Rose tomorrow, as the public is pounding Wiscy hard (80% choice against spread, 96% straight up win) and the line has moved as if people were betting hard on TCU. Moved from -1.5 to -3 TCU. Obviously I say this knowing its not 100% foolproof but most things have gone the way the lines have suggested thus far, and Vegas does not like the idea of 96% of people collecting their winnings.

Just by realizing the public is usually wrong on their bets, gives me the impression that Virginia Tech will probably surprise people, Ohio State (the suspened 5 play) is still a solid pick, Texas A&M will be ready for LSU and anyone taking Nevada to cover -10.5 has lots of company and will probably end up very wrong.

It's been a crazy bowl season, the SEC is too good to not get their wins, but this shows there is a different between having your middle of the pack teams make meaningless bowl games, and those teams being able to win those meaningless bowl games.

The SC loss in my mind says one thing, the SEC is not anywhere as good as they thought they were! They lost to a sub-par Florida State, to the second best team in the SEC and who Auburn fans use to show how good they are, Florida St ran all over them wasn't this supposed to be one of the better run defenses in their league? I was expecting to see more from them...

Next up Bama, I wonder how they look against a dynamic MichSt team!

Remember that the 3 losses were SEC East teams. We've been saying all year long how terrible the SEC East is this year. At one point later in the season, Vanderbilt controlled their own destiny to go to the championship. That's how bad it was.
