TCU Slipping

Post by justducky0 »

I have noticed along with the announcers that TCU is slipping a lot. This worries me because Oregon will be using the same cleats for the NTG.
Oregon as we all know is fast but if the cleats dont hold a lot of those quick cuts will not happen. Slips turn into INT's if the receiver falls or major losses if the RBs do. Or TD's if our DBs fall

The field down in Pasadena has been getting drenched so I doubt it's dried out completely, which would account for the slippage. If it's just TCU slipping, then I would then question the cleats.

true, It just seems like it is way more TCU than WISC. A good thing is that Glendale is a covered field.

i'm thinking maybe Duck trainers ought to bring the shoes they usually wear along, just in case!!!! slippage would be HORRIBLE!!!!! :o

as someone said pasadena has been getting monsooned on for a couple weeks.

tcu plays faster and depends on quickness, whereas wisky don't.

i think we'll be fine though it would be smart to bring the other shoes just in case!

The Fiesta Bowl might be an indicator of whether slipping will be an issue or not.

I was thinking the same thing at the start of the game. Did not notice it so much at the end.

I sure liked what I saw how TCU's offense read off of WI all american lineman Watts and ran at him and around him!!!

little speedy guys did well against the big powerful Badgers

I didn't notice them slipping in the second half. It was overblown by the announcers.

For the Fiesta Bowl, they mentioned having to change the cleats also, that the field was a little slippery.

Hope Chip hears this and brings extra cleats.

I didn't think that Oklahoma got any of the new cleats that Nike introduced at the uniform unveiling in Dallas. I think that it will be a judgment thing for the players once they get on the field if they wear the new Nike Talon cleats, both the mid and low versions. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the player revert to what they've worn most of the season.
