No respect
As what seems to be the norm, having coaches give a little love for the opposing team and respect, Auburn's coach mentioned nothing. No 'they were a great opponent'...I may seem like a sore loser, but that was classless not giving any credit to Oregon. You just don't see that by winning coaches anymore. Maybe we have a new fad, 'we won, it is all about us'. Weak.

Re: No respect
Who cares...he was excited. He just won a national championship. Lame post.
“If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

He did on the Auburn radio interview. He just got caught up in the moment in front of the cameras.
Much respect to you guys. You fought like champions.

Re: No respect
That bothers me a lot less than Fairly's cheapshot on LMJ and that one guy's personal foul on Dion Jordan. Beyond anything else, I am very glad our coaches don't allow crap like that. I think the Blount situation may have emphasized Oregon football never to be like that again.
Congrats to Auburn, well deserved.

Obviously I didn't personally do it and have no control of people, but I apologize for both of those plays. Coach Chizik does not like that crap and neither do I.

Re: No respect
Newton claiming to be an instrument of God bothered me. Other than that, whatevs. They just won the national title, I don't expect them to be perfectly humble & give thanks to every single entity. Chizik really should have given all the cred to newton though. He owes that kid another $180 ger.

Why'd it bother you? The thief who was crucified alongside Geez was an instrument of God. Men of God aren't perfect. They make mistakes, and are guilty of wrong doing just like everyone else.dthomas=ddixon wrote:Newton claiming to be an instrument of God bothered me. And for what's it's worth, even if he did receive $180,000 for attending Auburn(he just made the school $18 Million), I'm not sure God is too worried about it.
Remember, remember, the Fifth of November, the Gunpowder Treason and Plot. I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot... But what of the man? I know his name was Guy Fawkes and I know, in 1605, he attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament. But who was he really? What was he like? We are told to remember the idea, not the man, because a man can fail. He can be caught, he can be killed and forgotten, but 400 years later, an idea can still change the world. I've witnessed first hand the power of ideas. I've seen people kill in the name of them, and die defending them. But you cannot kiss an idea; cannot touch it, or hold it. Ideas do not bleed, they do not feel pain, they do not love... And it is not an idea that I miss //////// Follow me one Tumblr/blog http://f***-kp.tumblr.com/

The chances of a theological debate in this thread are far too high... Try to steer clear, guys.

First, what "sin" would he have committed if he had(no proof, just presumptions and myths at this point) accepted the money? And I also don't recall Cam professing his perfection, but maybe I missed something.dthomas=ddixon wrote:Wow great comparisonBumi wrote:Why'd it bother you? The thief was repenting & humbling himself before God, expressing that he was a sinner. Cam did nothing of the sort, in fact he did the opposite. All the "hardship" (Him & his dad being lying cheaters) is now being used by God? Please excuse me while I vomit.

Him lying about it all this time & claiming he never did anything wrong would be the "sin". Obviously him thinking he's being used by God didn't bother you.
