Bruins call Singler a dirty player

Post by maxduck »

Allegedly all the Ducks took "cheap shots" but Singler was the worst. Why do I have a hard time believing the accusations?

For not trying to call a player out, Smith certainly called Singler out. Singler probably isn't doing anything extra that any other player would try to do to defend people.

Not that I expect either of those dudes to make an NBA roster, but they have no idea how rough things can get... If UCLA makes the tournament, they will quickly find out the PAC 10 is pretty mild compared to other areas of the country.

I like Reeves, he's really good, but Singler freaking owned him that game. He was beyond frustrated, couldn't get anything going offensively & was getting schooled by Singler all night. The students were chanting "Nelson" a lot during the game, it was pretty obviously how flustered he was. And I won't even start on Smith getting outworked by freaking 6'1 Sim down low. Smith is a fat piece, guy is worthless.

Right now, I think Oregon fans would be happy to have either one of those guys, just to have a banger available.

I think that they were trying to make excuses for being in a close game with us. Reeves was talking ish to the student section after he fouled out. Kid looks like a punk.

Part of the issue could well be that this version of the Ducks is acting totally out of character compared to the last 3 seasons... Playing hard and competing right to the final buzzer.

A lot of people (including us) have said a lot of negative things about the ducks, but how are they going to win
if they don't play tough full court defense. They don't beat shoot the lights out!!
Huskies players are some of the dirtiest high speed bruisers in the Pac-10. Sorry, but this kind of rational eludes me.

What is E.J. supposed to do?? Use harsh language??

lol @ Reeves crying about it, he's usually a very physical and trash talking player himself, so get over it.

Alright i hav known and played ball with ej for a good portion of my life. My dad played with his dad. All singlers are very sneaky with there little tricks they use. I wasnt suprised one bit when i read the article and saw ej was the one being accused. Him his bro an his pops are very good at getting under skin.

It could be that they are just physical enough without looking like they are doing anything that gets to opponents. Some players are sneaky physical/dirty or out-in-the open dirty like a Bruce Bowen or Ron Artest.

This is just way too close to football season. It is difficult for me to shift mental gears about what a "dirty player" is. I am about a week removed from having Nick Fairly as my definition of what a dirty player is, so to picture Singler in the same light is laughable.
