Masoli will be wearing number 8 when the spring practice starts on March 30th.

Is this for jersey sales? I was thinking the jersey would be ward blount and masoli with both ward and masoli #2 they wouldnt sell as many jerseys?

I don't think so. People would still buy the same amount of jerseys, whether they were getting #2 for Ward or Masoli. It was his number at SFCC & it's available now that Scott graduated.

Bryce Brown wore #5 for East High School as well.
Remene Alston is the current holder of that # in the Duck O.

BB was #24 his soph year, #5 his jr, and #11 his sr year. I believe that's the order. He wore #11 for his brother.

he wore numbers to dedicate each season to some one else. He did say he wore #5 for reggie bush so i don't know if dedicate is the right word

If Brown came here, he would be smart to combine #5 & #11 and take Chung's old #15. There are a ton of them already sold and being worn in the stands, he would instantly have new fans....

I'm glad Masoli changed to #8. It's not great to be #2 as a QB. Thomas has #1.

It was cool when they had the 1,2,3 lineup warming up in pregame. Someone has a picture of it in "thousand words thread", awesome pic.
