Johnson "Very Interested" Oregon
http://oregon.scout.com/a.z?s=128&p=2&c ... 41041.html
"Quarterback Claude Johnson of Pine Bluff HS in Pine Bluff, Arkansas is a name to remember when Signing Day 2010 draws near. Regarded as one of the top dual-threat signal callers hailing from the southeast region, Johnson has been hearing from the Ducks. Is he interested in Oregon?"

It's amazing how many qb's from the 2010 class are already showing interest in Oregon. I have no doubt that we will sign an excellent qb.

That what I was just thinking today. I'm almost glad we missed on Boyd, now we can pick from a much bigger pool that's full of stud dual-threats that wanna be Ducks. We can be patient & pick the guy WE want not have to scramble & find a replacement last minute.duckgrad99 wrote:It's amazing how many qb's from the 2010 class are already showing interest in Oregon. Re: Johnson "Very Interested" Oregon
Is it just me or have we had more skill position players interested us in this class then ever before? And they are all extremely talented.
I have a feeling with this small class, we're gonna have to turn down some 4 star RBs and QBs.

I agree. You know for whatever reason last year when we lost Pryor to Ohio State the what if bothered me for awhile. Once Boyd committed to Clemson this year I was not that let down and felt like it was his loss. I think we will end up having our pick of a couple of big time QB's next year and Boyd will wish he had made the right choice. GO DUCKS!!

Oregon, 'Bama, Arkansas, Mississippi, BrokeBacklahoma, and Texas... Not a bad starting list.
6'/195/4.4. Doesn't sound like too bad of a starting point, after seeing Jeremiah Masoli perform.

2010 AR QB Claude Johnson participated in the Army AA Junior Combine, where he performed well:
“I made some good, accurate and strong throws,” Johnson said. “The receivers helped me out a lot because there’s a lot of good players out here. I do believe I was one of the best out here.
“Some of them do have more height, and that’s an advantage in college football right now, but I have heart and I play hard. I feel like I can play with anyone.”
Johnson ran a 4.78-second 40-yard dash and a 4.35-second pro-shuttle time in the early morning testing.
So he’s certainly far from a blazer, but could definitely still be considered a dual-threat.
Sounds confident...

Lake Hamilton quarterback Phillip Butterfield passed for 536 yards and four touchdowns in a losing effort. Rival Pine Bluff QB Claude Johnson passed for 403 yards and five scores and rushed for 131 yards.
(Geez, in 1 game? Sounds like a training ground for SEC/Big 12 defenses...)

I have a feeling CK and MB are enjoying all the attention, and taking their time evaluating whom to offer.

What's Masoli's 40-yard time? If I were to guess from just seeing him run, I'd say around 4.6-4.7... But that's just a lay-opinion.

Unless it turns out to be a lot of interest and few signers, 2010 recruiting sure does seem like it's lining up well for the Ducks. I think that their performance on the field in 2009 could make or break how that goes.

I don't think your 40 time matters as much when you can truck saftieswill5 wrote:What's Masoli's 40-yard time? If I were to guess from just seeing him run, I'd say around 4.6-4.7... But that's just a lay-opinion.

Masoli is like a mini-Mr.'T', as "Clubber Lang" in Rocky III... With a better Barber, and less Bling!

There's gonna be a Jeremiah Masoli Action figure someday! Admit it! You'd buy one for your son!
