Amazing win. Dana Altman should get some Pac 10 COY consideration.
Singler was incredibly clutch at the free throw line. Definitely made up for two late bonehead plays.

“If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

yeah, Altman deserves COTY. no offense to sean miller, but arizona talent + a weak Pac-10 = not as impressive.

Amazing weekend for the team. I never thought they would get a sweep in a 2 game weekend.

Re: Washington @ Oregon
this team is playing its way to one of the lesser post-season tournaments at this point. it's clear that the emergence of another able big in Nared occurred at the same time this stretch began and its makes you wonder what those guys who left would have been able to do had they more faith in what DA wanted to do.

Re: Washington @ Oregon
They've certainly beat my expectations. I was expecting only 10 wins, but are up to 12 now, with a lot more winnable games left. I think the new ceiling should be around 15-16 since all the games remaining, except Arizona, are realistically winnable.

I would of paid good money to have seen that.Duck07 wrote:this team is playing its way to one of the lesser post-season tournaments at this point. it's clear that the emergence of another able big in Nared occurred at the same time this stretch began and its makes you wonder what those guys who left would have been able to do had they more faith in what DA wanted to do.

Re: Washington @ Oregon
If we can pull off 3 more wins in the regular season and a couple wins in the Pac-10 tourney, could UO be getting an NIT invite? That would be 17 wins. Could be a bubble team at least.
Just think Altman has a team with half the talent of last years team, yet they could very well win the same amount of games.

I believe we are seeing the reason Altman won COY honors 4 times, in 3 different conferences.
Maybe about to make it 5/4.

The NIT is tougher to get into these days. If this were the old NIT I think .500 would do it, because we'd promise a 12,500 sell out. The majority of NIT bids nowadays go to mid-majors. I mean, it's a possibility, but I think something like the CBI would be more realistic for this season.

Re: Washington @ Oregon
If we finish above 500 in conference.. then I think there's a pretty good chance. Some of those early losses (SJSU & IDHO) won't help though.buckmarkduck wrote:If we can pull off 3 more wins in the regular season and a couple wins in the Pac-10 tourney, could UO be getting an NIT invite? Re: Washington @ Oregon
Right now I think we can win @ ASU, Sc, OS and vs Stanford. We played Cal tough and that could go either way. Wow at the very least I feel right now .500 is possible. Amazing!
