Re: Washington @ Oregon
Really a terrific victory, a sweep in conference play. What's especially nice is that we weren't sneaking up on UW, based both on our good and their bad recent play; and in fact the Huskies apparently had one of those "players only" meetings on Friday night to get things turned around for themselves. The Ducks are playing better AND more consistent and with passion. I'd be thrilled with a split in LA this week; then we'd come home for three "winnable" games (yes, I know Cal will be especially tough). The team is just a delight and real fun to watch.

I would be ecstatic with a split... A sweep may be cause for turning some spot in Eugene into "Toomer's Corner".
I jest, but it would make my weekend!
Besides, where would one obtain that much green TP?

Remember the green and yellow crepe paper streamers thrown from the third balcony as the team first entered the court to warm up during the Harter era?woundedknees wrote:I would be ecstatic with a split... A sweep may be cause for turning some spot in Eugene into "Toomer's Corner".

Yup... Main problem with that stuff is it wasn't color fast... The dye stained everything it touched, once it got wet.

I saw Davoe Joseph several times on TV during timeouts. Is he eligible to play next year for us?

Canada’s national prep player of the year before entering Minnesota, Joseph becomes eligible in mid-December, IIRC.
It will be interesting to see how Joseph affects the team chemistry.

Alright thanks.
Anybody know what the issue was this year with him to get suspended?

Possibly would give us another shooter alongside Brown and Kingma.woundedknees wrote:Canada’s national prep player of the year before entering Minnesota, Joseph becomes eligible in mid-December, IIRC.

Texas has two studs who are Canadian by way the Finely prep in Vegas. With his addition and the HS recruits, and with how bad the Pac-10 is, could see this team winning 20 games next year. Of course that probably doesn't get them in the NCAA with the image of the Pac right now, but that's a huge step in the right direction.

I have a feeling the only guaranteed spot in the NCAA for the PAC10 is either the outright conference championship, or winning the PAC10 Tourney... And with the current state of the PAC10, the seeds are going to be horrible.

I think we'll get two in out of Arizona, Washington, and UCLA. UCLA's win over BYU is cash money these days.

Re: Washington @ Oregon
This year UA gets in for sure and maybe UCLA. UW has to win out, right now they have 15 wins with really no quality wins. OS and UO really threw a monkey wrench into there season, and I love it!:)

Re: Washington @ Oregon
The quality of Pac-10 basketball is going to start rising now that some top-flight players are staying in-conference.
