The athletics representative's funds were derived from an illegal gambling enterprise he operated for many years at Detroit automobile assembly plants, where he was employed.

It is an interesting list and many of these I wasn't aware of. For example, I didn't realize that Zona and Cal were recently slapped by the ncaa.

Or that Coach Campbell's 1 demerit in 30 years was the JJ Arrington fiasco. The definition of "major" vs "minor" is all semantics to the ncaa. I'm actually surprised there weren't more schools on the list actually.

I'm sure that every NCAA school has committed some sort of violation in the last ten years that hasn't been reported or is so minor that it doesn't warrant reporting by the NCAA.

I'm sure that every NCAA school has committed some sort of violation in the last ten years that hasn't been reported or is so minor that it doesn't warrant reporting by the NCAA.

I worked for a compliance office this summer. Every school has a lot of violations every year and most report all of them. The ones who don't report are the ones who get in trouble. Those ones listed are bigger ones.

I think that's the JJ Arrington incident involving Coach Campbell.

If I remember right. Arrington wanted to come to UO, but his dad wouldn't sign the LOI to UO so Campbell told JJ to sign it himself. It's a stupid NCAA rule a parent, even of a 20 yo, has to sign off on where the player goes. I can join the military and die for my country without my parents giving any ok, but a kid can't go where he wants to play football.
