Re: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
because Memphis stupidly gave Mike Conley 5 years and $40 million this past summer and Brooks(he's RFA after the season) is clearly better than Conley so he and his agent will ask for more than that. I'm sure the Rockets are going to have a hard time stomaching that pricetag when they already have Kyle Lowry signed to a long term extension.gregspechtismyhero wrote:This would be awesome. The heat would be so good.
Q:Why would the Rockets do this?
A:they suck and AB's been injured so they probably figured if they can't contend then they should get something for the little talent they have.
also, James is the man, don't hate.

Re: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
LeBron is the single most dominant player in the NBA and one of the most skilled. Please tell me how many 6'8 260 guys move like him? Anyone who says otherwise is just delusional. Has he had some errors in judgments, yes, but for the love of God he is 26. And everyone says he's never won anything, blah blah blah, tell me who else has won a title with Daniel Gibson, Mo Williams, Antawn Jamison etc as their supporting cast? LeBron carried Cleveland on his back for the last 5 years and people get on him because he hasn't won a title yet? Kobe didn't win one with Shaq or Gasol, Wade without Shaq...you get where I am going with this. Get off his nuts because anyone who says LeBron is overhyped obviously shows a severe lack of any knowledge of anything sports related. Nobody wins anything without a supporting cast and LeBron is a prime example of that with his time in Cleveland. What I don't understand is people always say athletes are greedy, it's all about the money and so on...then LeBron takes a paycut to go and have a chance to win championships, and people get on his case. Logical...

Re: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I don't think anybody is arguing whether Lebron is good at basketball or not, obviously he's unbelievably talented & skilled at the game of basketball. But thats the problem, he's ridiculously talented & has nothing to show for it but acts like he owns the basketball world. Yeah he didn't have a good supporting class, we get it. But don't tell him that, he thinks he's king of the world. End of the day he hasn't much much of anything but thinks cuz he pussed out & went to the heat he's on his way to 5 NBA championships. He's about as big of a d-bag as there is in sports today. Stating that the heat aren't going to win just 3, 4 or 5 titles, before they played a SINGLE game. He's completely entitled & has no respect for anyone or anything. He's a 6'8 260 lb 14 year old.

Whether you like it or not two MVP awards being the youngest ever to 20 000 points and going to the finals with Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Drew Gooden, Eric Snow, and Larry Hughes as the other starters is quite an accomplishment.dthomas=ddixon wrote:I don't think anybody is arguing whether Lebron is good at basketball or not, obviously he's unbelievably talented & skilled at the game of basketball. Oh without a doubt. Like I said, the guys pretty amazing when it comes to the game of basketball. When he's playing I can't help but just sit back in wonder. Its just too bad the rest of the time he so full of himself & extremely immature. But most athletes are, he's just the extreme. He's been told since he was in middle school that he was the greatest, at some point I'm sure he started really believing it.DarronThomas1 wrote:Whether you like it or not two MVP awards being the youngest ever to 20 000 points and going to the finals with Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Drew Gooden, Eric Snow, and Larry Hughes as the other starters is quite an accomplishment.dthomas=ddixon wrote:I don't think anybody is arguing whether Lebron is good at basketball or not, obviously he's unbelievably talented & skilled at the game of basketball. Re: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I used to like him as a player, but after "The Decision", I found it harder to like him. The classiest way to handle his decision would have been to tell the Cavs ahead of time he was bolting so they could still do something during the FA to mitigate his loss. He strung them out so long that he didn't really give the Cavs a chance to sign some FAs that would have kept them from having such a crappy season. To screw over a team that gave him his start in the league when they hadn't done anything (that we know of) to screw him over is just classless.

Re: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I don't agree that he is selfish. I don't disagree that the decision was a screw up of epic proportions but moving to a team that offers you a better chance to win multiple titles for less money isn't selfish. He was in an absolute lose-lose situation: stay in Cleveland and piss away another 3-5 years of his prime or go to Miami and instantly be a title favorite. Again, The Decision could have been handled better but no matter how he said he was leaving he would have been vilified as a traitor and such. And to be completely honest, given how the Cavs owner reacted to the whole thing, they deserved it. His statement was exactly why LeBron should have left. And lets be honest, if you were given the opportunity to leave Cleveland for Miami and be on a better team, wouldn't you go? As far as his being cocky, let's be honest, all athletes are so you can't hold it against him. In my eyes, like I've said before, the whole LeBron thing (sans 'The Decision) should come down to the fact he took less money for a better shot at winning titles. People bitch and moan that "it's always about the money" and then someone takes less to win and they're still vilified. Sounds hypocritical to me...

+1. I agree "The Decision" was a horrible idea. On the other hand, he donated all the money he made from "it" to charity.Duck24 wrote:I don't agree that he is selfish. Re: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I think everyone agrees The Decision was handled horribly, but he is the best player in the world. I'll take relative immaturity over the rape/douchbaggery and extortion/gambling/sex fiend egos of the two previous 'best players in the world' (Kobe and MJ, respectively).
This year's Cav's are the greatest endorsement to LeBron's ability. To lose one player (and yes, I'm taking Big Z into account) and go from 60+ wins to... well, whatever the hell they're doing in Cleveland this year, is insane.

Re: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I actually agree with most of what you're saying, but this made me laugh. Because of the owner's response, he deserved it? So if I punch you in the gut and you freak out, I can rationalize my punch based on your reaction? Hahahahahhah. No you can't. Point blank, and there is no denying or rationalizing it, the "Decision" was nothing more than Lebron's ego masturbation in front of the whole world. It was a real doucher thing to do; regardless of how people reacted to it.Duck24 wrote:I don't agree that he is selfish. MJ over LeBron, sure. Jordan > all. But Kobe's never gotten himself out of the first round of the playoffs without a top 3 big man down low to take the load. LeBron's been better than Kobe for years now.swagnatic101 wrote:mj and kobe over lbj every single day. dont b so salty jus because mj and kobe have kept the blazers from rings.oregontrack wrote:I think everyone agrees The Decision was handled horribly, but he is the best player in the world.
