Re: Stanford @ Oregon
Hopefully they can bounce back after that really bad 2nd half against Cal. We still aren't good enough to not give maximum effort for all 40 minutes. Cal just played harder than us in the 2nd half. Which is really disappointing because we were playing so well in the 1st.

Re: Stanford @ Oregon
Altman got Monty'd after halftime. Not that there's any shame in that, Monty is the best coach the Pac-10 has had over the past 20 years. But honestly, that looked like the master schooling the young hotshot (and by "young" hotshot, I mean the 52-year old Altman) and establishing once again that Monty is numero uno in this conference.
Kind of a weird game in general. Usually Sim isn't the only one that can score points for us in a pinch, and typically EJ doesn't make two of the world's worst passes on back-to-back possessions. Cal drained a big trey every f***ing time they needed one, we went ice cold against the zone once they took Catron away, who really had an unbelievable first half. 'Twas all about adjustments, they made them, we didn't, and we looked really flustered the final 3-4 minutes. Gotta shake that off and beat 'Furd on Saturday.

Re: Stanford @ Oregon
Went to the game last night, and here is what I saw. First off in the first 5-10min of the 2nd half we played not to lose and got away from what worked in the first half. 2nd thing (and I'm not putting the L on the refs but...) Cal traveled at least 6 times and none of them got called, and by my count the scored on every one of those possessions. Really I thought I had gone to a NBA game with the amount of walking Cal was allowed to get away with. It was horrible. Just had to get that out.
On to Stanford, we should win this game by 10. If we play within our selves for the entire game, Stanford won't be able to beat UO in Eugene.
Oh on a side note, if you haven't been to the Matt, go! It's awesome, and it only cost $14 for my ticket (only $34 to sit behind the hoop but the guy I was will had tickets in the 200 level,) and since it was a thurs. game vs Cal I was easily able to move closer. But really form sec 210 the seats where great you can see everything so no need to sit any closer. Not a bad seat in the house that I could tell.

I was watching the game on TV and was noticing the amount of walking that Cal got away with. There were times when Cal was allowed to change pivot foots or get away with a couple steps before dribbling. Also the no-calls on some fouls late in the game were horrendous. Goes to show that some tweaks need to be done with the BB refs that's being done with the FB refs.buckmarkduck wrote:Went to the game last night, and here is what I saw. What bugged me was Nared getting shoved to the ground from behind while going for a loose ball under our own hoop, and three grown men with eyes decided the best course of action was to not blow a whistle and give the ball to Cal out of bounds.

That was one no-call that really bugged me. The other one was Kamp stumbling with the ball and touching the out-of-bounds line before throwing it to Gutierrez.oregontrack wrote:What bugged me was Nared getting shoved to the ground from behind while going for a loose ball under our own hoop, and three grown men with eyes decided the best course of action was to not blow a whistle and give the ball to Cal out of bounds.

Oregon broke out some gray/carbon unis today. Odd look for a supposed white-out.

Bring up the other player, then you can click the live feed. The other one wasn't working for me either.Eksynyt wrote:I can't even get goducks.com feed to work.

I don't see any other conference's refs take over games like this...this is awful basketball. No wonder the Pac 10 sucks.
