Rising Juniors in the State of Oregon
With the Ducks' recruiting "focus" now so far-flung throughout our Great Nation, who are the rising in-state Juniors that rate serious consideration as recruiting targets for us? We are still the Oregon Ducks, are we not?
I know of one in-state commit - White - but who are the others we would like to see playing in Autzen in the near future?

Re: Rising Juniors in the State of Oregon
WR keanon lowe- from jesuit high school in portland. Lowe shoukd get an Oregon offwr when he comes down either early March or when we have our Junior day May 2. He's a very talented wide out in open space and is very fast. On the smaller side but runs good routes and catches well to go with his great speed and vision. I'd compare him to slower versions of samie parker or terrance scott.
Owa O from david douglas in portland. This DE is a lock for 4*s and if he does very well this spring and dummer he could sneak into 5* status. He is very hyped right now and all major schools are offering him. Florida, Notre Dame, and everyone but SC have offered.
Kelvin Cain- Cain is the one recruit who hit true bad luck if he really wants to go to Oregon. Last year or next year he'd already have an offer but because we loaded up at lb and de in 09 and we are taking a small class this lb/de might not get offered. He is 6'5 225 right now and was dpoy for his conference and was 1st team d as a sophomore.
When I have more time and not on my blackberry ill go more indepth on a few other guys who are D1 material but maybe not Oregon level.

I'm fairly good friends with Lowe and run track with him at Jesuit. Kid is lighting quick and i hope he ends up a duck. He can play many position, overall just an athlete. Slot, RB, WR, FS, CB. He is unbelievably fast and just a good kid all around. Hopefully he becomes a duck!

Re: Rising Juniors in the State of Oregon
There is a wall for athletes to receive letters from colleges at Jesuit. I pass by it every once in a while (dreaming of the day when I get one
) and I know that Keanon has gotten a few from ASU and some east coast schools. So he's not exactly going to be a lock

If Lowe wants to play DB, I say offer up.... If he wants to be a WR, we can definitely do better with our limited slots at WR for this class.

Re: Rising Juniors in the State of Oregon
I saw his video on Scout and he looks pretty good to me. If I was coach at a school like Washington State, I would definitely be interested in him. He has a little better athleticism than you would think based on the way he looks, but not at the same level as guys like Bolden and Gardner. Milhollin would probably look pretty similar to Roper in terms of running the Oregon offense.illa wrote:Jhop - What's up with Millhollin, is there any chance this kid has the tools to play at UO? Just heard that he's hearing from D1 schools, but haven't seen him play myself.

Re: Rising Juniors in the State of Oregon
Millhollin is more of a pro style qb. I'm in the wait and see mode ojn if he is D1 material or not. He got a lot of snaps as a sophomore when Ej and Mitch Singler both had over 1100 yards and 15 tds each. This past season as the full starter both Singlers numbers dropped from what people were expecting.
Now let's see how well he does as a Senior without these two stud go to targets. If he has a great year I'd say he is D1 if not he will play somehwere at D2 imo.

Re: Rising Juniors in the State of Oregon
Actually Milhulin didn't see many snaps as a SO and both Ej and Mitch had much more productive years with AJ (I can't even begin to spell his name) who is now playing at SOU than they did as SR's. Milhulin started off a bit erratic then as the season went on got better but it the game against eventual state champs Southridge, SM was in complete control and dominating on both sides of the ball and about to go up 21-7 when Milhulin bonce passed a screen that was picked up by Southridge and returned for a TD. From the play on the game did a complete 180 and Milhulin couldn't hit any open WR.
He does have a very good QB coach in Singler who was a qb coach at SC and OC at OSU so I wouldn't bet against Milhulin making huge strides this next year but he will most likely be a kid that goes to a WSU or BSU. At 6'4 his is surprisingly fast and has a very strong arm he just has to work on his accuracy and he could be very good. The QB before him, AJ, couldn't hit the broad side of the barn as a Jr then his SR year threw for over 3000yds and around 40td's, so Singler can coach QB's up pretty good.
