eDuck's MacMallard suggests there may be one more addition
Fortunate "Junior" Kangudi, a 6'8" forward with a 42" vertical, from Pennsylvania... Also goes by the name, "Junior Fortunat".

"Pogo-Stick" shot-blocker FORTUNAT "JUNIOR" KANGUDI is evidently the guy we're suuposed to be looking seriously at. He just finished his Senior year season at Philadelphia's Roman Catholic HS ... (In the Philadelphia area Catholic League)
"Roman Catholic loves to play gambling, fullcourt man-to-man with the 6-8 Kangudi, who is being recruited by several mid-majors, playing FREE SAFETY AT THE RIM."
"It would seem that DA and I (who do not know one another) do have a similar vision, as to what we need, in order to be maximally effective, defensively ... i.e., a BACK OF THE PRESS and weak-side FLY-SWATTER ..."

Something has to give since there's no more room, even more so with Emory on board now. I'm wondering if multiple people may be leaving, like Teondre and Seiferth, that would allow them to take both Emory and Kangudi. I doubt he comes here since there are so many other schools with favorable rosters for playing time.

Very much doubt it, but I've been wrong before. Altman wouldn't want
to screw up the chemistry the team has built up in the last year, taking on too
many players would undo that.

Adding more players than they already are would probably set the team back a bit, but it's probably going to be like that in the 2012-13 season after having to replace the big JR class we have now. The whole team, save for a couple, will have turned over completely in 2 seasons so we'll get a good idea of how good Altman is.wvduck34 wrote:Very much doubt it, but I've been wrong before. If the kid is 6'9 and still available this late in the year it sounds like he may be a little raw, and maybe he's a RS candidate?

The thing is he doesn't want to redshirt as a FR so if Oregon offered that, he wouldn't come.buckmarkduck wrote:If the kid is 6'9 and still available this late in the year it sounds like he may be a little raw, and maybe he's a RS candidate?

Well, maybe Altman found the SC loophole and can add as many players as he likes.

wont be shocked to see the Ducks add another player or two. Would be shocked if said player was this guy. Very shocked.

I think the 2012 recruiting class will be the make it or break it for Altman.greenyellow wrote:Adding more players than they already are would probably set the team back a bit, but it's probably going to be like that in the 2012-13 season after having to replace the big JR class we have now. If he can get another top 25 class with some solid non JC bigs..... then I think things will be looking up.

well considering we over achieved and still finished with a losing record..... and Loyd & Singler are the only guys on the roster that Altman gets to build up around.oregontrack wrote:are things not looking up for you already?
I'm looking forward to see what he does with the incoming class..... but I still thinks he needs another top 25 class (with size) to have any chance at a tourney run within the next 4 years.

Eh. We could make the Big Dance next year, if Armstead can play a full season with his head out of his ass and Jabari is as the recruiting gurus claim. As for making a run 'through' the Tournament, it's impossible to forecast such things until the brackets come out.

Well, I just meant getting into the tourneyoregontrack wrote:Eh. As far as next year goes.... I have have a feeling that Jeremy Jacob won't be on the team next season and Catron's inside scoring presence will be sorely missed.
