I think WSU is proving that they should have been in the big dance as well. The Pac-10 was not great this year, but I think that the seedings for the tournaments were overly harsh. UW and UCLA both looked pretty good playing #2 seeds, even though they lost.

Ya Wazzu is a pretty darn good team. During tournament time, the great coaches shine. Kevin O'Neill is a pretty mediocre coach. Ken Bone was a solid coach at Portland St. Montgomery at Cal is a really good coach - unfortunately for them, he no longer recruits.

As for Arizona, Sean Miller is a great coach and Derrick Williams is projected by many to be the #1 pick in the draft. I definitely see Arizona returning to national prominence and surpassing UCLA as the elite program in the Pac 10.
“If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

As long as UCLA has Howland, they will continue to be mediocre and UA will/has pass them. SC shouldn't have been in the tourney but WSU should have been as well as Colorado.

Didn't see that one coming. Duke just stunk it up in the 2nd half and ruined part of my bracket (had them in my Final Four).

Long enough to know Howland is avg as a coach, and Dixon was the reason he was good at Pitt. Don't believe me, just look at all the talent he waste yearly, and UCLA fans are starting to call for his job.

3 straight final fours is wasting talent!?

Romar is an example of a coach of wasting talent.... not Howland.

With players like aflalo, love, farmar, Westbrook ect he should have won a title or two. This years team had as much talent on it as UO had on the last elite 8 team and they lose to us by 20 and can't make it out of the 2nd round. he is also an ass to his players and thats why they have been quiting on him the last few years.

Howland is a very good coach, but what separates him from the elite is that he is too stubborn to evolve his playing style to the personnel he has. When you've got Collison, Westbrook, Love, and Afflalo there is zero reason to play at a slow plodding place...they could have ran every team out of the gym that season, every one of those players is carving at least a good career for themselves in the NBA, some of them are stars...Just because he went to a Final 4 with that team doesn't mean they didn't underachieve..

Making it to the final four is a great accomplishment. The most talented team rarely ever wins the Tourney.... and losing against arguably the best team this past decade in the finals is another great accomplishment.

And how do you figure that this team is as good as our '08 team? We had a veteran team filled with upperclassmen (several of whom are playing pro overseas) led by a 1st round pick NBA point guard..... This UCLA team doesn't even have a 1st round pick on it.

losing to the 2 seed in the NCAA tourney is not a sign of quitting on your coach.

Seriously? They lost to a loaded Florida team 2yrs in a row.... and then they lost to a very good Memphis team...Derrick Rose was the best player on the court... Dorsey & Chris Douglas Roberts were great college players... It's not like they lost to bad teams.
