Tajh Boyd announcement delayed?

The latest word is that they have delayed, but not to a specific date. Apparently Boyd is all Oregon and his dad-mom are Ohio State leans. So they are just talking over everything to all make the right choice.
I am going to be pretty upset if we forgot to "sell" the parents once again like with Streeter and last year's Boyd.
Guess we'll see........

Speaking of Pryor, the front page article on Rivals quotes Boyd as saying he had just gotten off the phone with Pryor, who wanted to know what was up. Oh man . . . just shoot me if last year's big Duck "loss" at QB to tOSU is instrumental in dragging over there who would be our possibly biggest catch this year at any position . . .

Looks like we're just going to have to wait on his decision in any case.

The problem is his parents didn't make the trip to Oregon with him. They plan on moving to whichever destination he chooses. Will they blindly follow him to Oregon without ever seeing the place? Have his parents ever even been to the state of Oregon in their lives? I don't know the answer to that, but I have always been pessimistic about the chances of him ultimately coming to Oregon for that reason. Hopefully that can be overcome, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Technically, I don't disagree with you, Seanduck, that Brown would be the bigger prize. It's more that both Pryor and T. Boyd are 5* QB recruits with skills that seem to be so ideal for the Ducks offense . . . and if both then end up at tOSU in consecutive years, partly due to last year's influence on this year's . . . !!

IMO we need Brown worse than Boyd as a need. Although I would not classify either positions so much as a need. However past Blount the DC is a little questionable. We know after Masoli we have depth. I know next year we'll end up with two or so top level guys, but it's nice to get one this year to complement Blount.
I wish we were having this argument about defensive tackles.

It looks like the chances of Boyd committing are not going to be good for it to be today. Still may decide this week. That said it looks like he wants Oregon and his parents may be a bit more open to tOSU. Still think he ends up a duck.

so i live in columbus, ohio, and i'm surrounded by buckeye fans. ugh. last year sucked with pryor (most buckeye fans dont acknowledge he was looking at oregon). and now with boyd, if i have to watch tosu fans getting all giddy over him like they did pryor, i will throw up.

every year all i want for christmas is a tosu vs oregon bowl game so i can say suck it.

He's tripped both his faves and had in-homes as well. If TB wants to go to Oregon then delaying tactics at this point unfortunately point to the parents. I'm not saying they won't sign, but the longer this drags out the worse for us. I think the dad would also like to visit Clemson.

As long as Boyd decides relatively soon I believe the chances for us to get him are good. But I am with Mac here, if this things plays out over a few weeks we wont get him at all. Hopefully the parents can allow him to commit and announce this week.

I read he is getting cut on the day after LOI. She might like our pad for rehab.

Actually I've read his surgery date is 2/4/09 the day of LOI day.
