McConico actually played 9 games last year, but still the stats were very impressive. Had 6 plays of 70+ yards or more in those 9 games, supreme gamebreaker in a very athletic league.

"My offers are from Oregon, Colorado, San Jose State, Arizona State, Nebraska, Washington and Arizona," McConico said. "Oregon is my top school and I plan to camp with them in the summer.

"I'm also high on Colorado and will definitely visit there. USC is high on my list and the school I grew up rooting for. ASU and UCLA are the others in my top five.

"I want to camp with Oregon, USC and UCLA and will also be attending the Nike Camp in April. I'm looking for a good program that has a chance to win and a place where I'm comfortable with the coaching staff."

I'm guessing Washington doesn't have much of a chance since he is looking for a program that has a chance to WIN. Looks like we would have to wait for SC before he would think about commiting anywhere.

If Bryce Brown commits, and considering we already have Ethan Grant signed up for '10, do you think we still take another back for the '10 class? With LaMichael James we would already have 3 backs who will be within 1 year of eligibility. I highly doubt a guy like Malcom Jones or McConico would be interested in redshirting.

I bet we take 2 RBs this class (even if Bryce Brown commits). This RB class is just so talented, I have a hard time thinking we won't sign anymore RBs from this point now til signing day.

Oregon is looking for two RBs this year IF we sign Bryce Brown.

Lets say we sign Brown.

After this fall we will have a roster like this:

SR-Alston
SO-Brown
SO-James
FR-Grant
FR-Insert big back here

Brown would have a great shot at going pro as a junior much like Stewart did and thus we'd need a big back right after him to help ease that future loss. With Brown being the only true big back on the depth chart I wouldn't be surprised to see us sign a Big back like Malcolm Jones, James McConico, or someone else to go with Ethan Grant, and then we sign an ATH like Brennan Clay who can play both WR and RB for a total of 3 backs.

If we don't sign Brown this season I'd imagine Chris Harper would move to RB to be that next big back type while we then go out and sign one big back to go with Grant and then either another big back or a ATH like Clay.
