Where do you park on gameday?

Post by pdxduck »

And how much does it cost? I had two reserved spots at the Masonic Lodge last year at a cost of $275 each for the season. This year they're raising that to $300. The lot was typically 2/3 full last season so I can't believe they are raising their prices.

You might already know this, but I would park at one of the park and ride locations and take the bus to the game. If you like to tailgate though, I guess that's a different story. Seems ridiculous to me to pay $50 a game just to park.

I park off of Franklin and do the walk under the train tracks and over the foot bridge. Have parked there for years and as long as I get there early enough, it's free. Since I don't work on Saturday, it's not a big deal to show up a few hours early.

We have a pretty serious tailgater so walking/riding a bus into the stadium isn't really an option. I'm mainly curious how the Masons lot compares price wise to other lots like the BMX and Boy Scout lots.

I had two there as well and would be interested in hearing other tailgate spots that are not as expensive...since the lot was never full.

Don't we have an extra home game this year? Might be why it the prices got raised. Everything about the Football season is so overpriced I have to force myself not to think about it and just pay. All together for me it will probably pass $1500 this year. I will still spend most of the 2nd and 3rd quarters watching the TV from the tailgate. The 4th quarter is even more of a coin flip. That said I have done the same thing for the last 20 years and probably will for the next 20.

Just got a letter from the Masonic they want $1100 to keep my same RV space I've rented
for years. I am having a harder and harder time justifying it every year. They have priced out
a bunch of people over the last couple of years. The money isn't as big an issue as the fact that they treat their return customers like crap. They have a guy named Jimmy that is an absolute
ass and has almost made it unbearable to say the least.

I park at the BMX track...it is now RV only, although a car could pay for the RV spot just the same. Spots were $500 last year...haven't heard if they are raising prices or not, but I didn't think so. Great place to tailgate!

I park on the street (free) on Franklin Blvd and then walk over the bridge to game, it's tradition.

I park behind University Commons (or whatever it's called now) on govt. land next to the highway. It's on the corner of Commons Dr. and South Garden Way. Its on grass but it's free, close, and always has plenty of space.

We park in the mason's now...We parked in the stadium parking lot my whole life and they kept changing it and moving it...We still have a spot in the stadium lot but we just park the car there and walk over to out motorhome spot in the mason's parking lot...bigger spaces over there and you can park friday night and don't have to be out til sunday around noon which in my opinion are huge advantages.

I generally park just south of the cemetery, walk through it, past EMU, then the Science Library, across Franklin, past the millrace, under the tracks, across the footbridge, through the woods ...
