I don't understand why the mainstream media dose not give the PAC10 more credit and/or exposure for not only their OOC schedule, but their 9 game in-conference as well. Just this week you have:
Arizona @ #9 Oklahoma St
Arizona St @ #21 Missouri
Oregon St @ #8 Wisconsin
Next week:
UW @ #10 Nebraska
UCLA vs #25 Texas
USC vs. Syracuse
ASU @ Illinois
Utah @ BYU
Next week:
UC @ #15 OSU
Look at the amount of away games! No conference even comes close!! Whats even worse is we only get to play 3 OOC games. This means that while we are playing an extra round of games in which we will go 5-5, the other conference are scheduling guaranteed W's. There is no way that the main stream media dose not recognize this and yet you never hear about it on ESPN. Shameful!!

Re: PAC10 OOC Schedule
Ted Miller has pointed it out before. That's about as far up the stream as it goes though..

To be fair…do they really talk about a conferences OOC scheduling as a whole…I heard them single out individual teams when talking about that team, but that is about it. Kudos on your conference for doing it though.
Would of been easy to say drop down to 8 conference games like us.

Yes and No! They talk about SOS all the time. The SEC's biggest argument for having what equals to an AQ to the "NC" is SOS because of how strong their conference is. However, conference strength can not be judged by interference play. That means we are assuming. One of the biggest problems with the BCS system is (as if it wouldn't be difficult enough) judging a teams strength against a team that is in another conference. Why? Because there is barley any games between the 5 major conferences. This makes it almost imposable to judge a conferences overall strength, which in turn makes it even more imposable to say one team is better then the other.Bud Lee wrote:To be fair…do they really talk about a conferences OOC scheduling as a whole…I heard them single out individual teams when talking about that team, but that is about it. I am torn in this issue though. I like all the big name teams we see face off with the PAC12! Wouldn't you like to see Arkansas, Bama, USC, Miss St, and UK false off with teams from other BCS conferences? Hell Ya!!
However, it creates an uneven playing field and hurts our ranking due to inevitable losses. That with the combined round of games that the PAC12 will go 6-6 (1 Win-1 Loss) while everybody else is racking up easy W's will drop every PAC12 team in the polls. This has a daisy chain affect. The teams that Wins in the PAC12, W's don't look as good because the team they beat was not ranked that high and if they lose they drop even further because those losses look worse then they really are. Adding to that the depth in the PAC12 (assuming they have the depth they did last year) and a conference championship game...it's murders row!!
It's hard to think Larry Scott a fool and dose not realize this. Seems more likely he is he trying to slowly change the game?

The P12 plays a tougher OOC schedule than the SEC.... Discuss.Bud Lee wrote:To be fair…do they really talk about a conferences OOC scheduling as a whole…I heard them single out individual teams when talking about that team, but that is about it. Kudos on your conference for doing it though.
