"Report: SEC rejects WVU application for membership"
I don't know why, but that just made me laugh out loud at work. The little guy trying to join the superconfernces. I kinda feel bad at the same time, because WVU is a solid program.

Surprised that the ACC rejected West Virginia. Makes a lot of sense geographically and they have great athletic programs. Must be due to academics.
“If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

And maybe because In various polls the WVU fans have
been voted the worst in the country. They have no problem
throwing batteries and anything else not tied down at people.

Correct…I think I mentioned this in the other thread. WVU fans are on some LSU boards advising us not to have LSU swag on our vehicles because people will (not might, will) do something to your car. Like burning the window flags on your car, etc. WVU is going to catch hell trying to get a spot in a good conference because of how they treat the opposing teams.

Re: Is WVU going to be homeless?
i have heard wvu has really bad fans. the worst, in my own personal experience, is kansas state. those guys are TERRIBLE. I would cheer for tOSU to win 4 national titles in a row before I would cheer for KSU to make the sweet 16 or go to a bowl just once.duckfan22 wrote:And maybe because In various polls the WVU fans have

I know of a long time Hokie fan who tells an entertaining story about running for his life in Morgontown.

I’ve been to a couple of their boards…they seem to take pride in discouraging people from coming on their campus. I don’t get it, why wouldn’t you want teams to travel to your town, spend money in your city, buy tickets/parking/concessions from you school? We may yell “tigerbait” at peeps, but if you walk up to most of us and say hey you’ll normally get offered beer and food.
I got to say, the older peeps I talk to last year seemed nice…the younger ones were all flat billed punks.
