UW at Utah
Coming off a bye week -- which was after pummeling BYU in Provo -- and at home, this just has to be Utah's game. If not, I fear (if we haven't already) we may genuinely have to take UW seriously this year.

I kinda miss purple Geez. Price is gonna have more TD's in the first half than Locker had all last year

I read somewhere that UU was 0-6 lifetime vs. UW. Time for that streak to end in 4 days!Greenblood wrote:Coming off a bye week -- which was after pummeling BYU in Provo -- and at home, this just has to be Utah's game. Yes and all 6 of those games were @ Washington with the last being played in the 70's.AugustDuck wrote:I read somewhere that UU was 0-6 lifetime vs. UW. Really, even if the Huskies were to lose this game by less than two TDs, I might still be somewhat impressed with them.

From a Duck's perspective a Husky win helps our strength of schedule possibilities whereas a Utah win does nothing for us as we don't play them.
Oh who am I kidding. Go Utes. See ya in the conference championship game (the catty?)

I'm actually rooting for UW for this reason. We need some quality opponents.GrandpaDuck wrote:From a Duck's perspective a Husky win helps our strength of schedule possibilities whereas a Utah win does nothing for us as we don't play them.

Re: UW at Utah
Oregon could easily play Utah in the conference championship game if the Utes beat ASU. In my opinion that would be better than a rematch with the Sun Devils. I say Go Utes!Phalanx wrote:I'm actually rooting for UW for this reason. Re: UW at Utah
That's a good point -- Utah hosts ASU next week (the week before ASU then has to come to Autzen).
But in any case, the improved SOS potentially gained by the Ducks from UW upsetting Utah tomorrow is, for me, not worth the increased risk to the Ducks when they do finally play a thereby probably much more confident Husky team in Husky Stadium in November.

You might have a point, but that's like asking me to eat cat poo (Ron Burgundy) I just can't do it. Besides as long as we win out, it will work it's self out regardless of what any other teams do in conference.

Re: UW at Utah
Utah is going to finish tied with UCLA for 2nd to last in the south IMO. they looked alright against USC but when you look like that against the dawgs it's not a good sign.

Re: UW at Utah
Utah is getting a taste of what it's like to play a higher quality opponent every week.
