ASU loses another to injury..

Post by woundedknees »

Left Tackle, Evan Finkenburg, to knee surgery

http://espn.go.com/blog/pac12/post/_/id ... zona-state

http://www.azcentral.com/members/Blog/D ... ler/144260

What a list (Per Doug Haller blog):

OFFENSE

WR T.J. Simpson
(A big-play threat and sound blocker, Simpson is recovering from ACL surgery.)

Adam Tello
(Tello battled Marcisz in the spring, but he recently left football after lingering back issues.)

C Garth Gerhart
(One of the Pac-12's top centers, Gehart could miss Saturday because of an ankle sprain.)

Steven Threet
(Threet may not have won this season's starting job, but he started 11 games last season.)

DEFENSE

Deantre Lewis
(Lewis, a big-play threat and last season's second-leading rusher, was Injured in a February shooting. He has yet to make it though a full practice.)

DE Junior Onyeali
(Last season's Pac-10 Defensive Freshman of the Year, Onyeali is out at least a month after having surgery to repair torn meniscus.)

DE James Brooks
(A two-year starter, Brooks left the team after spring practice.)

WILL Brandon Magee
(Perhaps the team's best all-around linebacker, Magee tore his Achilles tendon in fall camp and is out for the season.

CB Omar Bolden
(A unanimous All-Pac-10 pick by the coaches last season, Bolden tore his ACL in the spring and will miss most, if not all, of this season.).

Devan Spann
(A redshirt freshman, Spann looked good in the spring, but he couldn't keep his shoulder in place once fall camp began. He's out for the season.

Damn, that injury list reminds me of the 2007 Duck team that just had injury after injury.

Both Arizona schools have been hammered with injuries this year. And an alarming amount of them occurred during the offseason.

Well that sucks for Arizona St but kinda good for us. Two DE starters no good, and a starting LB.

My sentiments, exactly.

Of course, this has no bearing with the national media, as far as how poor the PAC 12 actually is.

The pun(ch drunk)ditz already believed that before the injuries began to pile up.
