LSU/Florida
I hope LSU annihilates Florida. LSU's gameday atmosphere looks amazing. The stadium sounds very loud.
7-0 LSU already.
7-0 LSU already.

Re: LSU/Florida
Considering Florida is playing their 3rd string QB (a true freshman at that), this game won't even be close. LSU by 25+ IMO.

Re: LSU/Florida
I wouldn't go that far. They played the #2 and #1 teams back to back with freshman QB's playing 75% of the time. How do you think we would have fared against LSU with Brian Bennett and Marcus Mariota playing? They're definitely a top 20 team with Brantley.Boom wrote:Florida should have never been ranked...

Brantley is hardly a difference maker. I would take Bennett over him.Duck24 wrote:I wouldn't go that far. They played the #2 and #1 teams back to back with freshman QB's playing 75% of the time. Re: LSU/Florida
Get some perspective...they're playing with two frosh QB's, both of whom were 3rd string or lower just last week. If we played with Bennett and Mariota against LSU, we get shutout, hands down no questions asked. Remember how pathetic we looked with Kempt against UCLA? And for Boom who says he would prefer Bennett and his one garbage time passing TD over Brantley, your Oregon colored glasses just came through. Brantley was three games into playing with a new OC and looked good. Bama made him look bad but they make everyone look bad.

And comparing Bennett to Kempt...

Re: LSU/Florida
I have watched LSU just go off on every team so far. Oregon really would of gave them the biggest chance of a loss if we really didn't drop those ball's we were killing em in the first half on D. We at leat looked better then WV, Florida, Miss St, But LSU's D is just so Good you hear and see it.

Re: LSU/Florida
Brantley had 190 yards passing in the first half of the Bama game before going down with his injury. At that point, Bama was up 17-10 I believe.Duck24 wrote:Get some perspective...they're playing with two frosh QB's, both of whom were 3rd string or lower just last week. Remember, remember, the Fifth of November, the Gunpowder Treason and Plot. I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot... But what of the man? I know his name was Guy Fawkes and I know, in 1605, he attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament. But who was he really? What was he like? We are told to remember the idea, not the man, because a man can fail. He can be caught, he can be killed and forgotten, but 400 years later, an idea can still change the world. I've witnessed first hand the power of ideas. I've seen people kill in the name of them, and die defending them. But you cannot kiss an idea; cannot touch it, or hold it. Ideas do not bleed, they do not feel pain, they do not love... And it is not an idea that I miss //////// Follow me one Tumblr/blog http://f***-kp.tumblr.com/

Re: LSU/Florida
They lost to the top two teams in the nation. They are worthy of their ranking at full strength, in my opinion, and I think it is kind of unfair to judge them by their performance against LSU and Bama. No one has looked “good” against us or the tide this year, and it is important to remember that Florida was holding their own against Bama until the starting QB went down.karlhungis wrote:Amazing how bad they look when you consider their recruiting.....
The East is only a glimmer of their former selves, and compared to the West, they are awful-ish. It was not too long ago they were saying the same about us though. The East division is awful.
Florida and Tennessee is still rebuilding and adjusting to their new coaches. South Carolina has a lot of talent and with the new QB they should be a solid unit here on out. Georgia seems to be back on track, I’m looking forward to their game against Georgia Tech. When it comes to Kentucky and Vandy…well…they are what they are.

Re: LSU/Florida
Uh huh.... they were also ranked 12th in nation when they played Alabama last year and then 14th the very next week (after that loss) when they played LSU.Bud Lee wrote:They lost to the top two teams in the nation. They are worthy of their ranking at full strength
They didn't deserve the ranking then... and this team isn't any better now.
Right... so we're suppose to judge them against Florida Atlantic, UAB, and 2 of the worst teams in the SECBud Lee wrote:in my opinion, and I think it is kind of unfair to judge them by their performance against LSU and Bama

Re: LSU/Florida
I was comparing Kempt/Roper's 2007 results vs UCLA/OSU to that of the UF QB's vs Bama (2nd half) and LSU. We played teams that didn't have nearly the D that Bama and LSU have and looked just as bad, if not worse. If you'd take Bennett and his one garbage time passing TD over John Brantley then...well I don't know what to say. To each their own I guess. Brantley was doing pretty damn good and even looked decent against Bama before getting hurt. He's by no means Andrew Luck but to say he's, for a lack of better words, a garbage QB, is just plain wrong. And funny how on this forum that if you say anything that can even be construed as critical of the Ducks and complimentary of the SEC, you're a troll.Boom wrote:Brantley has never beaten a ranked opponent.Duck24 wrote:Get some perspective...they're playing with two frosh QB's, both of whom were 3rd string or lower just last week.
