They lost to the top two teams in the nation. They are worthy of their ranking at full strength

Uh huh.... they were also ranked 12th in nation when they played Alabama last year and then 14th the very next week (after that loss) when they played LSU.

They didn't deserve the ranking then... and this team isn't any better now.

Right... so we're suppose to judge them against Florida Atlantic, UAB, and 2 of the worst teams in the SEC

Same can be said about who Oregon has played. Outside of LSU, we've played Nevada, Missouri School for the Blind, a team that just canned their coach, and a team whose QB can't hit water from a boat. Florida, when at full strength, is a top 15-20 team (this coming from a guy who is a Florida State fan). How do you think we would fare if we played LSU and Bama, back to back, with Bennett and Mariota playing? How would ANY team playing with their 3rd/4th string QB's, one a redshirt frosh, the other a true frosh, fare against Bama and LSU? Again, I'm not lauding Florida as a top 5 team, but they aren't a garbage unranked team.

Playing LSU in October and not September.....I think it could be a winnable/close game as long as we don't turn it over 4 times and cut those penalty yards in half. Moving the ball on offense wasn't our problem...

Florida gave up 450 yards of offense against LSU... offensively... they're not that great.

And comparing our schedule/results to theirs is ridiculous.

Nevada is a significant upgrade over Florida Atlantic and UAB (neither have a win yet)... 8 point home win over Tennessee... that's a top 15-20 team?

You have to win 9-10 games to be in the top 20 discussion...

Before they lost Brantley I would of said 9-3..now...they are looking at 7 to 8 wins...and at the end of the year their ranking will reflect that. I see them being ranked in the mid 20’s at the end of the year.

That is unless things start clicking for them and they win out. If that happens, they are back in the top 10-15. Which could happen by the way, their offense with the 3rd string guy looked bad against one of the best d’s in the nation, they won’t face another defense like that all year.
