I have really appreciated Wash. St. coach Paul Wulff the past few years. Coaching that program is an uphill battle to say the least, and I think he is doing a great job.
I have heard him in many interviews and he has seemed not only a good coach and mentor to the kids, but a great man.
Then I just read this...

WOW!
How do we measure a man? The trials of his life are pretty astounding. God Bless you Paul, you are a better man than most. Sometimes we don't know how we would handle
adversities until they interrupt our lives but I don't know how he stood tall through all of this. My level of love and respect for Coach Wulff just blew through the roof.
Great article on Paul Wulff

I too just read this and WOW. What tragedy he's had to endure through. I don't think I could persevere through that pain like he has

I still don't understand why he gets so much crap as a coach. WSU IS getting better. They've been tougher every year.

They definitely need to give him more time with that program. They are so much better than they were 2 years ago.Phenom wrote:I still don't understand why he gets so much crap as a coach. WSU IS getting better. They've been tougher every year.

And WSU was down scholarships when he got there also. That should give him even more of a grace period to start with

Brooks didn't make a winner out of his teams overnight. Wulff will turn that program into a more competitive team if given the chance. I don't know if they can become a perennial power , but definitely a sleeper threat. They would be best served creating a stable coaching environment and letting it mature.
That article was an eye opener, never knew the turmoil he had ridden through.

Man I totally agree. I was watching a WSU game online a couple weeks ago. A bunch of Coug fans were just raking him over the coals! I was shocked and had dialogue with them about it.
They kept pointing to hard stats and how many games he has actually won. You cannot judge him just by that. Give it the eyeball test. There is growing stability in and around the program, they are competitive in games they normally would have gotten spanked in, and they LOOK better. He deserves another two years to me. Like you said they get better and better so I am not sure what some of the fans think. Besides find many coaches dying to go to Pullman...they have their man.
