I think Boise State is the most desired match up…no one thinks they deserve to be in the top 10 and most of us wants a shot at them to shut them up…no one thinks Boise State will beat us so everyone thinks it would be a sure way to get our third ball.
OSU is getting no respect either. Most think that if we get them in a NCG we will shut them down and grind the ball against their weak defense.
A lot of fans want y’all again…to be honest mostly because they want to show that the first go around wasn’t all “luck”.
On the other hand most don’t want Bama again…there is a few that would love to beat them twice in one year but most people recognizes that game was one missed field goal away from going the other way and want NO part of Bama again.
That's the thing, though... PAC offenses evolved, while SEC O's stagnated.
People down here would say your defenses digressed as the PAC became an offense orientated league….

We also played y’all week one with a TON of off the field issues and a brand new Offensive Coordinator, with a brand new system and not mid season after we have found our offensive identity….funny how the argument “our offense would have been so much better if the was game played in week four” works for y’all but not us.
Cherry picking the rush stats to make the accusation that the Duck’s “D” is as good as Bama’s D is ridiculous. Bama’s D is probably the best in the nation…then LSU’s…I’ll pass judgment on the Duck’s after this weekend seeing that this will be your first big test since our game.
For what it is worth…I think y’all will do great and I’m pulling for y’all to get the win.

DUH...that is my point...y'all hold tight to the following arguments: 1) it was week one and your offense has not gotten things together yet 2) It was DAT’s first game and he wouldn’t of made the same mistakes if it was later in the season, and 3) we weren't at full strength due to off field issues.
But you dismiss the fact that 1) it was week one for us too and our offense AND defense has improved each week, thus we would BOTH be facing a stronger team than in week one, 2) It was JL’s first start as QB since his terrible FR year and his confidence was not as high as it is now, 3) you had ONE guy out, we had a starting QB out, our whole team is getting hate from across the USA because “we attacked a good Samaritan marine”, and our offensive coordinator got diagnosed with a life threatening disease.
But I digress….we are both two different teams since week one…you can’t say that y’all have improved so you will win…it doesn’t work like that…we have improved too…I think if we played today the game would be much tighter than it was in week one…but I think the result would be the same.

You are probably right…though…we passed for 98 yards against the Duck’s …since Shep’s return they we have averaged 170 a game…with only being held under a 100 once since then. And that was Saturday night against Bama when they kept us at 91.
JJ just gives us another dimension….a “wild cat” formation if you will.

I posted Millers comments in response to the tired BS that the Pac-12 doesn't play defense, an opinion you reiterated in the post I originally quoted. I will ignore the remainder of your rant except to note Oregon was missing two players expected to start on defense, not just one.
I liked the Ted Miller article of course, but I was thinking the same as Bud while reading it: if I feel like Oregon was out of sync in the first game of the season, I have to assume the same of LSU. I think most West Coast football fans are turned off by the arrogance in the SEC, but until the ducks actually beat their top teams, I can't blame them for crowing.
I think Oregon could make a mark this year, but 2012 looks more like the year of the Duck.

I would agree that both teams have probably improved since then. But, I think that LSU played good, mistake-free football in that game. I don't think that LSU got Oregon's best that night, for whatever reason.
I'm not out arguing that if they played again now it guarantees an Oregon win. Just that I would like to see what would happen in the same match-up without the game-changing, atypical of Oregon, blunders.
Which is why I want the rematch….I like you guys…but I’m a Tiger first and I want my boy’s to prove that they are the better team…and forced those “mistakes”…that we won because we are great…not because we were lucky.
I think a rematch is possible by the way…as long as we both win out and get a little help from some other schools out there. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Would love to see a re-match. I think it would be a good football product too. Lots of story-lines to go on. Lee exceeding expectations. A true freshman stand-out in DAT with a chance to redeem himself on a huge stage.
Lots of football left first though. Plus, I'm so used to the BCS doing something odd at the end. Trying to not get my hopes up.
