Robert Woods Doubtful for Oregon Game

Post by EncinitasDuck »

Twitter is on fire with reports ranging from Woods is very doubtful to flat out won't play. Didn't practice today. Trojans seem to be pretty beat up coming out of the UW game (see link below). Guess we can thank the Huskies for something, although like most, I'd like to beat them at full strength. But at this time of year who is really at full strength.

Definitely not 'other guys' material Encinitas!

That's a HUGE hit if he's out. Just lock up Lee and we are fine.

I seriously doubt that he is out. Even if they bring him in as a decoy.

Yeah I find it hard to believe that they would release that he is out. I smell Lane Kiffin gamesmanship here...

I'm calling BS also. In this report there is only two hurt this week it looks like and George Farmer, and Torin Harris. Also looking at them over this season wow a lot of people have been hurt.

Regarding reports that USC receiver Robert Woods didn't practice today and is questionable for Saturday's game due to injury, Kelly seemed dubious.

"He's playing, I can tell you that right now," Kelly said. "I love that kid, he's a competitor. He's playing."

Certainly could be gamesmanship, but the fact that he didn't practice on a Wednesday could make it legit. Doubt even Kiffin would sit one of his star receivers on a critical practice day before their biggest game of the year just to screw with the competition.

Even if he is playing it would be nice to have him a step or two slower than usual.

Them not having Woods would be the difference between them actually being competitive in the game and not even coming close.

I won't believe it until I see those guys, or even just Woods, sitting out the game. This has Lane Kiffen written all over it! As was mentione before, what team at this point is actually full strength? All teams have guys sitting out practices and of course if he is banged up he wouldn't practice this week!

well, obviously i have no idea if it's legit or not, but woods was clearly injured against washington. marquise lee did all the heavy lifting, woods looked extremely gimpy and only caught 1 pass for, like, 5 yards.
