I'm not sure if De'Anthony Thomas is Reggie Bush v2.0, but I'm sure glad to have him! Bush was a little bit bigger than Thomas, but Thomas is every bit as fast and quick, if not faster and quicker. Definitely did not expect him to be this good as a true Freshman, he is simply amazing.

He's still kind of undersized. No need to play him so much more when we have other talent that can shoulder the load. However, probably should have got him more touches against SC. Course if our wr's would have caught a couple of those drops then it wouldn't have mattered.

I think Percy Harvin is a better comparison.
“If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

In terms of how Florida used him and his style of play...

I have seen plays from DeAnthony that Bush can't even make. For example, that kickoff return against USC last week, when he made that cut back, I thought he might get caught from behind. Not only did he not get caught, nobody got close from him. It was disgusting how he stopped and accelerated like that. Again, Bush may have gotten the touchdown, but the defenders would have gotten a hand on him. Another play I don't think Bush could make was when DeAnthony abused that safety from Washington State. DeAnthony is a freak of nature, athletes like him come around very rarely, and we are blessed to have him on our team. Two years from now, he will be Oregon's first ever Heisman winner.

Yeah DAT is not Reggie Bush 2.0

When he's done people will be talking about how special and unique he was.

FWIW - that's what everyone was saying re: RB... I know it's been a few years and the scandal tarnished the memory, but...

though I think and was trying to point out that DAT is at this point comparatively, and WILL BE overall, better than even Reggie Bush.

I watched an old reggie bush game this summer when he played all world against Fresno St. DAT could possibly become that good but it still remains to be seen, Bush not only had speed and agility but he also had some meat on his bones. Not sayin' DAT can't be that good its just lets not forget how electrifying Bush was.

I remember that play that Bush did to Oregon in Autzen in 2005. All 11 Oregon defenders were chasing Bush to his left, Reggie got to the sideline and saw the entire Oregon defense there, he spun around and reversed field, then out sprinted every Oregon defender to the end-zone for about a 40 yard TD, even though our corners and safeties had the angle on him.

Bush was pretty dang amazing! DeAnthony is well on his way, but it's real early in his career.

What's kind of weird is that S.Jackson has had a much better NFL career, and he only runs a 4.55 40 time, but is 6'2", 241lbs. Bush ran like what, a 4.33 40 time? What's even weirder, is that J.Stew is a faster version of S.Jax and hasn't even cracked a starting role yet with a team (4.46 40 time, weighing in at 235lbs.).

It will be interesting to see what LMJ does at the Combine in the next draft.
