Several guys are now saying that Harris is more likely to qualify than not qualify at this point. Let's hope he keeps up the work.
Should he qualify he is all Oregon.

Like I have stated on other threads, according to Rivals Harris is currently sporting a GPA of 2.7 or so... That would seem to indicate that if he can scrape together an SAT score of 730 or better, or an ACT of 60, he will have absolutely no problem qualifying.

That would be slightly less than 50% of the perfect score under the current SAT system.

http://www.nats.us/player_zone/eligibil ... ghouse.asp

1) You must graduate from high school.
2) You must successfully complete all core courses.
3) You must have a minimum 2.000 GPA in core courses; and
4) You must have a minimum qualifying score on the ACT or SAT.

I will be very surprised if Harris fails to qualify.

ACT of 60? I took it last year, and unless it changed, I thought that it was out of 36? I got into Oregon last month with a 29, so I'm assuming for Harris the minimum is more like 18-20? He's now ranked like 42 on the Rivals 100, so would he be the highest rated DEFENSIVE recruit for Oregon since Haloti Ngata? He looks to be a shutdown corner and would be a HUGE get for the Ducks!

Stewart and Colvin were top 50 prospects also. In fact Stewart was top 10.

Oh sorry, didn't see the defensive word that was UPPERCASE.

Yeah Harris would be the biggest defensive guy we've landed since Ngata. However, Willie Glasper was pretty highly ranked by scout. I think Harris would be about the same as Glasper in terms of ranking.

You know as much as we talk about Boyd, Harris might fill more of a need for this team. I think he would be just as big of a get as Boyd if not greater.

I agree Harris might be the biggest impact player immediately. Although I would still love to get Boyd because he will be an impact player later and what his commit can do for future recruiting and possibly for getting Brown.

I think the thing with Boyd is that if he comes, he has a good chance of swaying Brown to come as well. If Harris comes, he is coming by himself. Harris certainly fills more of a need on his own merit but Boyd could potentially bring a lot more to the team if he comes early enough.

"core courses" is the key when it comes to Cliff. Overall GPA doesn't get you in.

Harris coming wouldn't necessarily be coming by himself. If Jefferson doesn't qualify theres a better shot of getting him after his time at a JC if Harris is already here. In addition there's at least one big prospect in 2010 from the same school that Harris may help us pull in
