Which 2009 recruits did Chip recruit?
I know he was working on the ones that got away but I was wondering which one he actually was responsible for landing.
I have seen lists out there that show who the recruiters were for each recruit but I can't seem to find it right now. Can anyone out there enlighten me on this?

Re: Which 2009 recruits did Chip recruit?
Thanks
So in 2009 he recruited:
Zac Clark
Daryle Hawkins
Braxton Lane
Not a stellar list for 2009. One guy won't play, another is unheard of and the last is a JC guy. What happened this year? He had a great recruiting year in 2008 and seems to be starting strong by locking up Grant already in the 2010 class. It just makes me wonder what happened in 2009.
Could be a case of "ya win some, ya lose some", or is it a case of "nice guys finish last"?

It was a case of mom and dad don't want their little boys to move all the way across the country to have success (Boyd, Brown and McNeal) or Chip is not religious enough, maybe a combination of both.

HMmmm... "State/publically funded, institution of higher education seeks Head Football Coach.
Must be talented, innovative, charismatic, and a great spiritual/religious leader... Divinity School a plus."
Sounds like a job description that ought to fly in this country where 'separation of Church and State' is so adamantly protected, doesn't it?

Is it certain that B lane won't come to Campus? any word on his Baseball draft prospects?

Well he almost got BB single-handedly. Brown would always rave about his relationship with CK. I think it's a win some lose some thing, and that he'll pull in some big-time recruits soonkarlhungis wrote:Thanks

If we look at Chip recruits for the 09 class we might wonder what he did a little.
However look at the 2010 class interest and one can assume that Chip spent a fair amount of time on kids like Ethan Grant and co. last year so we could hit the ground running on these top level players.

I think until after the spring baseball draft, everything is speculation with Braxton Lane... As much as many Duck fans would like to believe differently, not everyone is driven by the need to grab the immediate dollar. Perhaps Lane will be drafted lower than expected, or turn out to be one of those unique athletes who choose to put education ahead of instant gratification.R bar Duckaholic wrote:Is it certain that B lane won't come to Campus? any word on his Baseball draft prospects?
