Keenan Allen surgery
KA has surgery on his right ankle and will miss Spring Practice... he hurt it while playing basketball. Cal says he'll be be ready for fall camp.
On a side note, he's still half brothers with Zach Maynard.

Unlike Stanford and Oregon, the Bears have an established quarterback (Zach Maynard)...
I would much rather have the unknown abilities of Bennett and Mariota than have Maynard taking snaps.

Haha, funny article.
Yeah, Barner and DAT are completely unproven.Unlike Stanford and Oregon, the Bears have an established quarterback (Zach Maynard), a proven tailback (Isi Sofele) and a big-play receiver (Keenan Allen).

Re: Keenan Allen surgery
The only consistently positive thing Maynard has established is DNA related (And I don't mean talent), Allen is laid up, and their RB would not make the 2 deep for the Ducks... Good Luck, with that.

Do Bennett or Mariota have any1/2 brothers on the team??? Agree, too bad Barner & DAT are so inexperienced.

Re: Keenan Allen surgery
Meh, the guys statement is accurate. Cal is the only one of the 3 schools that has all three. An established QB, a Proven running back, and a big time wide receiver. Stanford has one of the 3, Oregon has 2 of the 3.
Maynard gets a lot of heat from Oregon fans (and some Cal fans too), but he passed for 2990 yards in his first season and completed 57% of his passes.
If we are going to give our own Bennett the benefit of the doubt for his poor passing accuracy due to inexperience, as we should, Maynard should get some slack too. After all he is still Keenan Allen's half brother while being 6 inches shorter than 6'8" (before the combine) Brock Osweiller.

Don't think we will ever know, as Maynard will never sniff the combine.woundedknees wrote:How much shorter will Maynard be?
