Another one of our FL prospects that puts us in the top 3. This kid is a specimen of athletic ability. We are in there with Florida and USC. Could play DE, but wants to play WR/TE in college.
Story on rivals is premo: http://oregon.rivals.com/content.asp?cid=930372
Could not find any free video, wounded do your thing.
I'm loving this interest from top athletes in Florida. If we can land a handful of them it would help legitimize the idea of Oregon being a national recruiter. Also, would go a long way to interest future recruits.
I couldn't find any specific video on Delvin Jones, but he is in this tape as a run blocker. Look for #7... He is usually well down-field, blocking for Running Back Kuwon Eldridge. Pretty impressive.

This is from the recent Nike combine in Miami (taken from the ESPN recruiting page):
Stock Down
Delvin Jones (Miami, Fla. / Palmetto), DE/TE
On film, Jones impressed with his size and ability to rush the passer. We entered the Miami camp with Jones as one of the players we were really looking forward to seeing, but he took us a little by surprise. The South Florida native looked good physically, but puzzled us a little by deciding to workout out with the tight ends. Jones looked out of place most of the day and we would have liked to have seen him at defensive end, which is his more natural position. He seemed a bit rigid in his movements and not very smooth in his routes. He also did not come across as a natural pass-catcher, fighting the ball at times. Jones holds some impressive offers, but we would be surprised if he plays on offense in college. The camp sported a couple of tight ends that we would rather have seen on defense, but Jones topped that list.
I think the interest in Oregon stems from Jones's prefered position of choice, WR/TE.

With those numbers I would take him for any position that he wants to play. I'm sure we can develop him.
Jaison Williams had some issues with his hands, but any Duck fan has to admit that having a big WR on the field who can effectively block downfield can have a huge effect on the outcome of a game (See 2008 CW).
I believe the rest of the package could be taught by the right coach.
Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!

You guys should realy go back and watch the 2008 CW and the 2008 Holiday Bowl. Make a point to watch JWill and his downfield blocking. On JJ's first long TD run in the Holiday Bowl over the left side, JWill completely owns 2 different guys, and by own I mean slapped them in front of their girlfriends own.
Exactly... IMO, JWill was one of the premiere blocking receiviers of last year in the PAC-10. If his hands had matched his blocking, the guy would have easily been a 1st rounder.

this is true but, most people watch the ball nobody pays attention to blocking down field. there where a couple time i noticed jwill take out two people at a time on plays. I personally think he is a big loss for us.
To be in his top 3 with no offer is outstanding. He's so raw that I don't think he holds an offer from Florida or SC, but it doesn't mean he won't get one from any or all of us. Limited class is killing us this year.
