Summer Sports You're Watching

Post by Kimber45 »

Not a lot going in in July as far as sports.

Olympic trials. The Tour. Golf?

I've been watching the AMA Outdoor series (motocross) which is pretty fun. R. Dungey is running away with the 450 title but the 250 class has been amazingly competitive.

Any other sports going on that are worth following until Fall Camp?

Are there any Ducks floating around in Summer League these days? I spent a lot of time following L. Jackson with the Idaho Stampede over the years, as well as checking box scores for other Duck alums. Not a huge fan of the NBA though.

Olympics and some Tennis. Can't wait for Olympics to actually start.

Also, watched a little Tour De France, but it gets boring after a while.

I Tivo the race stages and spend half an hour or so skimming through 3 or 4 hours of coverage. Can't argue that watching several hours of grown men ride bicycles is more than a little on the dull side. Some mountain stages, though, I'll watch every minute. Amazing athletes in an oddly wine and cheese sport.

I appreciate a good 5-10 minute highlight.

not watching sports much this summer. Just not into it
right now. If there is a replay of an Duck football game i
might watch. Spending time doing other things. Now once
football starts all other activities must end.
