Thoughts on the game......

...And I won't be certain until the game actually kicks off but I may be rooting for UW this week

I will now go take a 3 hour shower

After their performance Saturday I am not too worried. They have the ability to put up points, but I predict LSU will pull away with this one after the half. My prediction is LSU wins 42-17

I'm not sold on Mettenberger. If Washington can have any kind of run defense I predict a relatively low scoring, boring game. 24-10 LSU.

I’m not liking their chances of having any kind of run defense with their 3 man front and the “roamer” against our offensive line. I know their nose guard is 315, but isn’t the two ends smallish?

Yeah, They're in the 250 range if I remember right. I'm not real high on their run defense either. I should've capitalized, put in bold, and underlined that "if" that I used before, because it's a pretty big "if"

Yeah, I would be surprised if LSU isn't eventually able to get their running game rolling against Washington. The second half could get ugly considering the Washington linebackers are a real weakness, and their depth at that position is even worse. Middle linebacker John Timu was an absolute joke last season. He was supposedly going to be much improved this season, but he didn't look very good in the opener. Another starting linebacker spot is occupied by a 209 lb. converted safety that is a redshirt freshman. Princeton Fuimaono is only 211 lbs. Josh Shirley is a good player as a hybrid LB/DE, but he isn't the biggest guy either and his strength is rushing the passer rather than run defense.

Washington does have some quality safeties that can help in run support, but I don't see that being enough.

I didn't see UW's opener since it was at same time as Ducks game but how did Shaq Thompson look?

Yeah, the way I see it, if San Diego can rack up 199 rushing yards in the Huskies back yard, my Tigers should run wild in Death Valley Saturday night. I would not be surprised if we have three one hundred yard rushers this game.

At least one of them may be a DB.

Washington lost their main running back Jesse Callier(sp) for the season with an ACL.

So with Polk and Callier now gone, Price is going to be sack bait.

+5 sacks, +3 ints/fumbles from Price is my prediction.

34-17 or something like that. Score will look closer than the game actually was.
